If the KOC offense allows Stat Boy to improve his numbers, albeit with the same failings elsewhere, he will price himself off the team in search of greener pastures. I think the most likely scenario is he plays out his contract here then departs.

Meanwhile we need at least three first rounders and $40 million in cap to properly address all the needs.

Dan, not new. was around for trib as well.

Here since 2007 when change over.

lurker mainly...

The purple shades are still there, tempered by the years of realizing you can't win it all each year.

All I'm asking for is one year to be ok, then return with a vengeance. I want Rodgers to stay so there will be a bigger bidding war on Cousins. God, am I so looking forward to rooting for a team lead by someone besides that dip shit.

Geoff, that was sarcasm..

My wife and I say “are you new?” When some one says something that obviously ridiculous…

Like if we trade cousins. We have a mediocre team.. “..

It like” are you serious?”

Not directed at you, I know you have been around since strib..

So have I.

You've said that to me at least once or twice. I find it hilarious!

I am officially tired of Kirk's "what's in it for me" stance. He's within his right to go after every dime someone's going to kick his way. But, thinking that way actually hurts the opportunity of bettering the team. I bet some players who work day to day with him don't like that kind of attitude.

I don't know enough to know if I want any of these QB's. I want our guys to want one though.

Willis is really intriguing now that we have a coaching staff that may be able to develop a college QB that's a little raw.

By that token, we already have the intriguing Mond for that.

There would be some beautiful irony in Zim-Spiel getting canned and Mond ascending into starter material.

Especially with the cash he's made over the past 5-6 years. It's one thing if it's a 6th round rookie on his first big contract extension. It shows winning isn't his biggest priority and underscores why he, ultimately, needs to go.

I would just play him this year and let him walk, unless somebody actually offers up draft capital.

That's a lose/lose situation for the Vikings. If he plays anywhere from poor to above-average we overpaid and got nothing for him. If he plays anywhere from great to elite we still lose him after 2022 and got nothing for him.

This and refusal to vaccinate tell me it's Kirk first team second.

I want a man who will put team first.

He's going to handcuff this organization this year. go players will be let go. No good Free Agents will be added. He has every right to demand all that guaranteed money. but better players than him have renegotiated a contract for the betterment of the team.

I hope to god this new management team just bites the bullet and pays and plays cousins into the ground and spits him out like a rotten bite of apple..

I’m done with him.

His whole attitude is toxic to me

His performance on the field is not worth the money he is paid.

A 40 million dollar Qb who can’t or won’t call and audible, throws the ball AWAY on fourth down..
And on and on and on.

Enough of this crap.

Move the fuq on.

If you love cousins so much, follow him to the ends of his contract, wherever he goes.

He can’t be gone soon enough for me.

This off season is gonna suck.. because we have 9 days to jettison 16 + million in cap money just to be in compliance with league rules.

Cousins won’t help?

Big surprise.

****ing smeagle ass pinhead Jesus freak.

So we are gonna have to cut or restructure REAL talent, and kick cap hell down the road, or suffer a truly challenging season or two, to get out of the toxic culture that the triumvirate of morons created in the management and financial management of a team roster.

Just another decade in my life as a Vikings fan.

Putting Favrey in a purple jersey was the epitome of “ let’s see how badly we can **** ourselves with a guilty smile”.

i think that some people just want to be able to hope next season - hope that o'connell flicks the switch and the cousins' led vikings do something remarkable....

trade cousins for the best deal that we can - we save money, probably get some picks, and we can move on....

bookies.com has the odds at 40-1 against mond starting...bet $100 and get $4,000 if mond starts the season in 2022 - thing is, bookies.com doesn't take bets...just establishes odds for context....

cousins is fools gold...a coach killer...a cap killer...a team killer...he doesn't have the guts, and the will, and the leadership intangibles - just very very pretty stats - without the wins...he lived in fear under zimmer, but somehow he was comfortable there...it wasn't his fault, and he liked that...he likes the money, too...a lot of money...he wants more...oh yeah, kill that cap, boy - that's what you do....

The Vikings are parting ways with head athletic trainer Eric Sugarman. The decision comes as the Vikings head in a new direction with a new leadership team.

That's true, but is predicated on getting something in return. IF, IF we can then trade him. I just don't see a team taking him on given his contract variables, but the NFL is full of high ego coaches and GMs so who knows.

Great description!

What team would sign a mega contract for a QB who be 34 years old by the opener, and who, after being in the league 10 years has exactly a .500 record and exactly one playoff win?

In his initial presser, KOC spoke of a clear-minded QB (or some terms like that). Well, of course KC is clear minded! All he had to do was run the called play like a robot. Instead give KC the responsibility to audible and the receivers a bit of room to ad lib on their routes and let's see how clear minded he is.

Maybe pre-draft medical checkmarks [like Darrisaw] need closer examination.

Now I get it.

'Clutch' Cousins has nothing to do with high pressure situations ... it's about how tightly one can grip the throat of their franchise.

I don't it that way. If Rodgers leaves Cousins and the Vikings easily win the NFC North.

Nobody is going to trade for Cousins IMO, a 1 year rental with a $35-45 million dollar cap hit? Nobody is going trade for him and extend him IMO.

Play Cousins, see if the new coach is Jesus by getting something out of him and move on after the season. Gives him a year to evaluate Mond and time for the new GM to plan out the future of the QB position.

Maybe this means fewer pec tears and fewer guys being cleared before they're ready.

There was also that whole lawsuit/scandal about being ay too liberal handing out opioids that somehow all get swept under the rug.

He definitely deserves credit for his part in EJ and AD's recovery, as well as potentially saving Teddy's leg, but there has also been some damning stuff that hasn;t gotten the pub over the years.

One of us needs to call the front desk and ask if the start of FA on March 16 at 4 p.m. is eastern or mountain time. As a gentle reminder.

The time for glowing frothy media introductions and BFF shoulder rubs are at an end.

It's time to do something. All hell is about to break loose.

Rodgers isnt going anywhere.

Ian Rapoport@RapSheet
The #Packers and MVP QB Aaron Rodgers have agreed to terms on a 4-year, $200M deal that makes him the highest paid player in NFL history, sources say. He gets a whopping $153M guaranteed and his cap number goes down. A monstrous commitment by GB for years to come.

Ian Rapoport@RapSheet
Thanks to the new cap room, the #Packers are expected to franchise tag WR Davante Adams.

Time to get dealing. Pay 10 million of this years salary, just get rid of him.

And Erin...Packers arent going anywhere. Time to bite the bullet this year and move forward.
