I think we got Blacklock and a 7th for a 6th.

Rather have Watts.

We get a conditional 7th. Spielman can stop hyperventilating over the Blacklock trade.

It's a funny phenomenon. Not funny ha ha, funny lame.

People that play lame or dumb...but it's on purpose. You know it. They know you know it...but it plays bc people are really dumb on the internet. And plenty of people don't know the poster is playing.

I say go for quality content. (yes my play to Scott was quality)

I find it mildly amusing and appreciate Matt for doing it.

Thanks kg!

Got to your room in country music..loverboys..

See, that's the spirit. Well done!

the people that play dumb are the Meatsauces of the world. Now I'm sure you don't know who that is. A local Radio personality on the KFAN's morning show plays a doofus on the show and the others mock and ridicule him. It's all very juvenile, but in postgame shows, he usual has a lot of good incite on what happened in the game.

His real name is Paul Lambert. but he goes by Meatsauce. and it is IMHO a stupid schtick.

He was named Meatsauce by Mike Morris when the Power Trip was his show. It has never been the same since they fired Morris. Now I call it the Morons in the Morning......but the youngsters seem to eat up their juvenile antics.

How anybody listens to the kfan morning show is something I will never understand. It’s like a bunch of early puberty boys talking.

Only time I listen is to hear Ben Leber after Vikings games and half the time they talk over him about stupid junior high stuff.

Ben "Smartest Guy in the Room" Leber. I say Cove and Sauce are smarter. Hawkey is maybe not dumb, but he's weird and talks too horny.

Hawkey can sure sing and produces one of the top morning shows...he really doesn't need to say too much; just run the ship.

He has an incredible voice.

Shortly after Pelissero reported that the Vikings sent a sixth- and seventh-round draft pick to the Houston Texans to acquire DT Ross Blacklock.

Interesting. He was the 8th pick of the 2nd round 2 years ago. He was a Top rated 5 DT by just about everyone.

Vikings defensive line coach Chris Rumph worked as the Texans outside linebackers coach in 2020 when Houston drafted Blacklock.

I remember a lot of people wanted us to draft Blacklock, but at this point in their careers Watts seemed better.

Supposedly called out by JJ Watt for being low effort.

Suh?

Ben Goessling@BenGoessling
The #Vikings had less than $10 million in salary cap space before final roster cuts. By trading Jesse Davis and Armon Watts today, they've cleared more than $4 million in space, with only about $792K in dead money from the two deals.

The only issue left is PS players.

Gotta be aQB and a center out there somewhere..

Let’s see who KOC and KAM agree on for this “ side pocket”…

So Watts gone, Davis gone, even the move with the punter last week, the Vikings are clearing out cap space for something. That's very clear. Sometimes these types of moves fall short but there is clearly something at work.

So now that cuts are done for the time being...

Let's revisit the 2021 Draft courtesy Rick Spielman:

Darrisaw
Mond - Gone
Suratt - Gone
Davis - Gone
Jones II
Nwangwu
Bynum
Robinson - Gone
Smith-Marsette
Davidson - Gone
Twyman - Gone

11 picks, FOUR in the 3rd Round.

6 already gone.

Wow Rick. the more I look at it...the more I get why you had to go.

Further I am starting to get why Zimmer wouldn't talk to you. You drafted him garbage.

Wow. Just Wow

Does 9/10 draft choices making the 53 seem high?

Seems like a pat on their own back...

Scott, I'm sure there were drafts where 5 guys weren't on our 53 the following year.

Mayock might just make Spielman look like a genius in comparison...

Raiders first-round picks from 2019-2021:

2019:
DE Clelin Ferrell, RB Josh Jacobs and S Jonathan Abram: 5th-year options declined

2020:
WR Henry Ruggs III & CB Damon Arnette: both waived following off-field incidents

2021:
Alex Leatherwood: Waived after one season

What really catches my eye is the FOUR 3rd rounders we had, and we only still have just one of them.

In the end Spielman simply wasted too many shots.

I thought leatherwood was a can’t miss player. I better leave the talent evals to the professionals.
