Talbot isn't old but he's also not going to be around for a long time. Need to see what we have in Kap moving forward. Back to back's are good way to do that.

Another impressive win. We come at teams in bunches. So different than the way this team has been built in the past.

Agree, just a little surprised that he got the back to backs after not getting a lot of chances previously. I hope they keep giving more time and he keeps playing well. Be nice if he's a legit future #1 waiting in the wings.

The thing that is making this team so good right now is everybody is contributing and you hear them all say it after every game that they are playing for each other.
That is the culture they are building here and it includes the goalies as well, so hopefully we will see more of a rotation going forward to keep them both fresh and at the top of their games.
Looking forward to seeing how they do against Toronto tomorrow. If we are as good as we think we are, should be a good game.

When the players are playing for each other before the fans or money, that is when special things happen.

I still can't say enough about the Rem Pitlick pick up. His goal was my favorite last night. Nifty little fleece job followed by a fast move to open ice followed by waiting out the goalie and burying the puck.

He fits right in on the line with Fiala for sure. I really feel for Fiala the way he is snake bit lately. He keeps working his ass off and getting chances but can't buy a goal right now. When they finally start going in for him that line is going to be a bigger handful than they already are.

This weeks power rankings in the Athletic:

5. Minnesota Wild

Record: 16-6-1
Last Week: 10
Dom rank: 4
Sean rank: 5

Sean: We talk about Kirill Kaprizov a lot here. That’s fine! He’s fun! But, uh, Ryan Hartman has 13 goals. He had 10 shots against the Devils on Wednesday night. A lot of those are off Kaprizov feeds, but the dude is still at 84 shots on the year already. I’m not sure he’s going to keep up the 46-goal pace, but that’s solid output.

Dom: I remember opening night for the Blackhawks in 2017 and they routed the Penguins 10-1. Hartman had a five-point night and I was sure he was going to be a star for them. It’s taken a while, but he’s finally putting it all together. He and Joel Eriksson Ek make up a decent one-two punch down the middle.

The first thing I said when he scored that goal is "OMG - the patience he showed!" It's human nature to shoot quickly once you get the puck on your stick, but he just held on and held on, all while maneuvering his body, getting the goalie to commit, and then sending it into the now-open net. A thing of beauty.

5 game win streak is impressive. How often have they done that?

So many players will rush it and wind up burying the shot into the goalie instead of the goal.

He's a goal scorer and seems to just have that ability to know when to shoot as much as where to shoot.

Tonight's game with Toronto should be a fun one to watch. In the past, these are the kind of games the Wild wilted under the spot light. Hoping this group doesn't let the hype get to them and just keeps doing their thing.

Okay a little less fun now. The game has taken up permanent residence in our end. Now 3-2.

Yeap. We dominated the first 30 and they dominated the past 10. 3-3 going into the 3rd

A fluke goal got them started and we just couldn't do anything but clear the zone long enough for a line change and that was it. The parade to the penalty box killed us and has to stop so we can get back to rolling our lines and playing physical.

They got up 3 and quit skating. Spent the rest of the period chasing the puck and never catching up to it.

Our top line has disappeared tonight. We need them to show up and get something going here.

What a game, this one should just end a tie, methinks. Unless we win the shootout of course.

Nice win.

Love Kirill the Thrill's boyish grin as he nonchalantly scores the winner.
