I'm not entirely convinced Kubiac is terrible.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking but I feel like there were Kubiac plays and Zimmer plays. Plays that Zimmer expected or overruled with.

Sometimes the offense looked different. Plays that were sharp. And timely. Surprising. Those were most assuredly K's.

Yeah I think that Kubiak and McCardell have a good shot at staying. Not sure that Kubiak should be OC though.

Memo to Kwesi Adofo-Mensah:

Understand that if you ever trade back for 5th, 6th and 7th round picks, I will be calling for your termination as GM. Understand that if you ever opt to pay a guy $45-million for being mediocre at his job, I will be calling for your termination as GM. Understand that if I ever hear you utter the phrase "best player available" I will be calling for your termination as GM.

In the Bills/Chiefs game last Sunday, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes led their respective teams to a combined 39 points in the final two minutes of the two halves of the game. In the entire 2021 season, Kirk Cousins barely scored more than that in 17 games (or 34 halves). Please address that, so that our squad looks as if it is playing the same game as the rest of the league.

Outside of that, go get em. I'll give you three years to produce some results, but I'd really like to see some within two.

Not accurate at all...if the defense held Kirk would have had 4-5 more gw drives than he already did (4). Yeah not all would have held up...but you do know that just two holds by the defense and we were in the playoffs.

Missed Kick At Arizona
Cook Fumble at Cincy in OT
Last second win at Detroit
Baltimore
Steelers

Kirks contract is due to a restructure of the FO....they are to blame not Kirk. The real number is 33 million but they decided to restructure and that is part of the reason they are gone.

You go to ownership and ask to restructure Kirk at more money the following year to shore up the defense from 29th ranked and you have the same defense....

Just a general note. Sarcasm works halfway decently in person (I personally am not fond of humor that starts from a stance of trying to embarrass someone), but it doesn't work even a tiny little bit in print. Sure, some may figure out you were just kidding, but in print it completely loses the intended effect. And for those that don't realize you're just kidding, it makes you look like a fool.

Just my two cents.

However, if it's in the middle or later rounds, the team is about to pick and they have a few equally weighted candidates on their board, and then some team calls and offers an extra pick to move down a couple picks (e.g. drop from pick #101 to #103 in return for a 6th round pick), I don't see a problem with doing that, provided that the extra picks are evaluated as more than fair value for the move back.

I would say that even a few games we won shouldn't have been even close (DET, CAR,PITT) because of coaching. So bad coaching was a theme.(Calling David F.)

So, better coaching probably does get the players a 10-7 record.

Right, you're all about pointing out and blaming KC for the record but no one else. We didn't win so, KC is selfish, can't win a game in the end, talks about Jesus.

I'm excited about Adofo-Mensah, for quite a few reasons. His academic pedigree is high, his approach to managing a team sounds promising, he's young - so he's not set in the "old ways" of doing things ... and he's black, which makes the Vikings a trend setter again. With Denny Green we were one of the earliest teams to have a black head coach. I like living in the 21st century, and I'm glad our team does too.

Does setting trends lead to Super Bowls?

Yep I don't give a rat's ass about Black/White or polka dot. Can he do the job well.

Yes we almost blew a 29 point lead.

But thanks to Harrison Smith on the last play of the game...we held on to win.

It was a Pyrrhic victory at best.

I think KAM is a GREAT hire based on merit, and I like what he says. His being Black is a great (intended or unintended) PR move in a town that has had some racial issues, an added bonus. Hiring a woman as an assistant (the one that was interviewed for the GM), is also good PR for getting women into important positions.

When he was describing the kind of coach they were going to hire it sounded a lot like DeMeco Ryans to me.

Whether you liked Spielman's draft trades or not, based on trade value charts they were mostly neutral to very solidly positive.

What sunk Spielman was Teddy's freak knee accident. I didn't want them to trade the first round pick for a desperation QB Bradford, but they wanted to take a shot with a great defense. Teddy was good enough to win with that defense, and he'd have been cheap enough to keep the defense stocked. Instead they had to scramble from that point on, didn't get lucky enough in the draft, and too much cap got sucked into QB to keep everything else together.

Spielman did that often, either as a result of advertising his willingness to trade back or even initiating calls to do so, and the team may have not gotten fair value at times. The "original sin" that sunk this regime was the desperation move when they weren't really as good as they thought, and that stayed that way. They got nothing out of that trade, while playing young guys and losing would have yielded a high draft pick, which instead turned into a player that help beat them the next year in the NFCCG.

Getting women into important positions has always worked well for me.

Or, perhaps they were just the best qualified person for the job.

This is an attitude that keeps hurting this country. There is the assumption by some that these people were hired for PR purposes. I'm pretty sure if you hired someone in a critical role in a $3-billion business, that they may meet qualifications.

I'm not saying Marty is guilty of it, just pointing out the obvious. Whenever I hear this kind of stuff come out of someone's mouth, I get right in their face. To me, for some, the only way to learn is to be put in your place.
