I didn't realize this: the Vikings have struck a deal with the NFL.

The Vikings' opposition is allowed 4 no calls of pass interference for the 1st 4 quarters, and then the Vikings get a free no call of PI, to be used either late in the game, or in OT.

Yep, but it was more like 4 per quarter for the first 4 quarters. Then we got one I forgot if it was during the Bills FG drive or in OT.

the commentators kept saying 'they're letting them play' - but they sure didn't let hockenson play when he was called in the endzone - i thought that was a bs call, too....

I thought the Hock call was correct - and he probably saved an INT by committing the penalty.

Ya, I didn't have a problem with the PI on Hawk. I did have a problem with all the jersey grabbing the bills got away with including the play right after the PI.

that surprises me...i saw it as mutual bumping at the catch of the ball...nothing....

To me Hock just about tackled him and good thing he did.

How many MN fans shut off the TV after the failed 4th down sneak?

I rewound the play and pauses it and went out for a smoke feeling super bummed. I was oblivious to the play (the fumble)for a number of minutes.

If the refs were swaying the game and not "letting them play" Shelly would have been flagged for PI and the Bills would have been 1st and goal to go.

It was clear PI to me so if they wanted to ding us all they had to do was call it.

So I guess even though I think they sucked they did us right there.

So so many things had to break right for us and a # of things didn't go right but we overcame.

I agree Todd. If it were a "sway" for the Bills, that would have been PI on Shelley, or they would have called a quick holding penalty on Cook's long TD.

I think if the defender gets there early, comes from the backside, and the instant before the ball gets there, gets his arms around the WR where is one of his arms is preventing one of the WRs arms from going upwards to try and catch the ball, that is interference.

I was told during the game that that was a clean defensive play. I think it fits the definition of interference.

It looks in games like this, the refs are going to let defenders do whatever they want to JJ and Hock, giving the defenders an advantage, in the vein of "letting them play".

This is what we will see in playoff games.

Not sure how the Vikes can counter, other than doing the same, with blatant PI from Vikings' defenders early in the game, and many times. So even though it may lead to giving up points early on, there is more of a chance they might also later call PI on defenders covering JJ and Hock, or the Vikings defenders might benefit with getting away with a late game PI (like Shelley).

Jefferson tied the NFL record for fewest games (42) to get to 4,000 career yards.

Justin Jefferson is the career leader in yards per game with 97.0 yards per game. Julio Jones is 2nd ever with 90.1

Maybe the refs are just trying to level the field with JJ and those trying to defend him.

In his prime, I think defenders got away with a minimum of 2 obvious PIs/game against Moss. Could you imagine the numbers for Moss and that offense, if they had benefitted from 32 more PI calls in a 16 game season.

Well, that was a special game...feels like it changes my whole perspective on the team...

When it was 24-10, I felt like that's it, here comes the collapse like in the Eagles game, but so much resilience!

There are still issues, obviously...

But they keep winning, a charmed season? Maybe?

My bother in law asked me, "Are you buying in?"

Excited, for the future, and cautiously optimistic for the future!

Saw a snippet of good morning football and they were talking about how well the line blocked. Von Miller was not in much. Von Miller actually got tired of Facing our RT and moved to our LT and had about as much success.

Another thing that isn't talked about is that the Vikings figured out a base package where they had the advantage and didn't change it or substitute it for a while....Buffalo loves rotating Dline and other positions which is a good check mark for the Off Coaching side.

Brandel held his own. Hopefully he doesn't have to do it this week.

Is there any word on Darrisaw?

I was so worried about having to finish the game without him...hope it is "nothing"

Looks like he'll have to go through concussion protocol. I don't know % wise what it looks like to see him playing next week but it could be worse.

we had two opportunities to score touchdowns, one to kick an extra point, and one to hold bills from scoring a field goal...any one of these things get done and this game is over....

4th qtr: vikes scored a touchdown and missed xpoint

4th qtr: vikes had 1st and goal at the bills' 3

4th qtr: vikes need to prevent the bills from scoring field goal or td

OT: vikes had 1st and goal at the bill's 2

going into OT i was not very stressed about winning the game, as i felt very confident....we dominated the 2nd half/OT....

bills scored two field goals in the 2nd half/OT

vikes scored three touchdowns and a field goal in the 2nd half/OT

Game Ball to Greg Joseph...

I said this live on game day thread as it happened... Missing the PAT forced Vikes to play much more aggressive, and lead to the crazy ending.

Plus he then made the game winner from same spot on field...

-----

NOW today go out and find a kicker that can make his kicks, he is a liability in playoffs

Game ball and a plane ticket it to go with it? ... crazy how many kicks this guy is missing

And he couldn't kick off past the 10, so they had to start squib kicking them.

I was wondering how the media was going to perceive this game...

So much more talk about the Bills being in trouble or that they lost it, etc, rather than the Vikes stepping up

Some saying it was a statement game for Minnesota, but they always add the question marks...

Is this the turning point? or just a good win? will we see them one and done in the playoffs? blah blah blah

Still not getting the respect, probably because of Kirk, but I'd rather keep flying under the radar, if that is possible at 8-1

This game reminds me of the Thanos situation...

Only one way to win, give him the green stone...

We had to miss the extra point in order for the cascade of events to happen...

And KOC should make it job #1 to work on whatever to ensure the damn ball is snapped before the play clock runs out. He could have used a challenge with that 19 yard sideline pass that (I think) Davis did not catch.

Can a team review that under 2 min. What's the rule on that now?

That used to be a time when a TO was called to give replay a min to look again

The Vikes used their last TO just prior to that play.

Wind?

I wondered if that's why some of Kirk's throws were off target...but some were incredibly perfect...

Not sure
