Baseball players have bad months; he batted .175 in July last year. The problem I have is batting him 2nd and 3rd when he is struggling.

Good to see Kirilloff with the game winning hit. The fix to his wrist needs to work this time. He needs to fullfill his potential. Kirilloff was projected to be a huge part of the long term future of this lineup. Royce Lewis starts his rehab assignment today. We need the same from him. Injury issues in the rearview mirror and playing up to his potential. Miranda needs to iron things out in St. Paul and get back here. These three were projected to be mainstays in the lineup for years. It needs to happen now.

The other thing that needs to happen is getting Buxton back in the field at least part time. I can appreciate easing him back in the season to reduce the stress on his knee, but it's time to ramp things up a little. Buxton being exclusively the DH reduces his impact on the game. What makes matters worse is that Rocco refuses to run him. Buck is becoming a one dimensional DH and that is making the cure worse than the disease.

The Twins are staying on top despite batting slumps because of quality depth in the rotation. Starters 1-4 are consistently going 6+ innings. That takes a big load off the bullpen.

There is zero reason not to have Buck and Taylor in the OF against LH. I think they will get him in the field by end of May.

But when they said rest for short while and the description of the injury and the rapid move the 60 day IL...Well the writing was on the wall for this to be coming.

Good thing we have more depth this year.
