Worst part is they end up spending more money by getting cute:

Santana and Margot this year. Gallo last year. The Dylan Bundy and Archer signings just a few years back.

You can't assume that would have happened had Gray remained here.

But Gray is a Cardinal now, so screw him

This is why you don't gamble on pitching.

Pablo Lopez. This is why you go out and get starting pitching.

Not cut, just reassigned to the minor league camp

And that, most will agree, is a very good thing.

Absolutely pointless trade. They should have rolled with Austin Martin.

Twins are moving in the right direction. Now up to the 15th ranked farm system.

Margot isn't depth. He's a waste of a roster spot.

Buxton had a day today. An entire season, day to day, of keeping fingers crossed until that fateful moment arrives.

We (excluding Matt) usually cringe when we hear...no trade or free agent signing can help as much as a full healthy season from player x. In Buxton's case it's 100% truth. In those rare stretches with a healthy pain free Buxton, he transforms the lineup.

Has Buxton given us a full healthy season yet?

Can he?

What's the over/under on how many games he will play this year.

I'm cynical about it at this point. I'm putting my guess at <30 games

Feeble effort on the road today losing to Tigers 1-0 at "TigerTown"
1 hit, by Kirilloff

A ton of strikeouts with a lineup that featured one starter in the field, the LF hitting 053 Miranda at first

Eaten up by Maeda who didn't hit 90 in the near 4 innings.

My daughter was there as part of their softball team's day off. Was bored quickly. Good grief.

Brooks Lee with a HR and a triple yesterday. Unfortunately the Twins didn't use any pitchers who will be on the 26 man roster and lost 9-4.

Lee is hitting .343 with a .990 OPS during ST.

Wallner on the other hand - .069, .200, .207, .407 with 15K in 29AB
