Jayden Daniels is unbelievable for a rookie.

Yep. And all the 4th down plays they called throughout the season and yesterday. Those plays alone rachet up the pressure. And they did great at converting.

So KAM and company probably got it wrong again. We were trying to move up to #2 for Maye.

Still early and Maye could be just as good or better but it sure looks like Daniels is best QB in that draft.

Until JJM starts playing

We were trying to move up to the Pats pick at 3.

Yeah. That's right. No shot at Daniels.

I can still complain about Verse or Jalen Carter instead of Dallas Turner though.

At the time, I loved the DT move. Thought it was brilliant. Heard of Verse through various draft sites but really didn't know much about him. I assumed, like DT, that he was some 'tweener' that needed time. Damn, that looks like a massive miss.

There are some mitigating factors to the end results. Turner came in and had to play behind two pro-bowlers in Greenard and Van Ginkle. As a result Verse had at least 3 times as many plays as Turner. Despite that Verse only had 1.5 more sacks than Turner. Verse is also 3 years older than Turner. Time will tell if it was a miss or not.

Probably a great point. I don't watch the Rams unless it's against us or today when there is nothing else. That said, every time I've seem him he's an ass kicker.

Ravens TE Darrin Nelson-ed the 2 point conversion. Josh Oliver would have brought that in and secured it.

Nelson's attempt was much harder. That was a layup.

Ben Johnson to the Bears (Windy City website going nuts). Thought he was going to the Jags.

Still do not think Flores goes to the Jets, but maybe the Jags?

I think Flores is staying in Minnesota.

Bears probably made the best hire they could have made, could make it a 4 way race next season.

They could have won that game if they would have just went heavy with Gibbs and scrapped the trick plays.

I hope so. Get him some CBs and DLinemen and we could have a dominant defense.

Our last 3 NFC Championship teams.....11998 had a great oline (Zimmerman, McDaniel, Christy, Dixon, Stringer) the other two not so much outside of Hutchinson.

The Achilles heel of the Vikings offensive could be offensive line coach Chris Kuper.

He should have been put on notice that his job is on the line.

Flores not on the Jags radar:

https://share.newsbreak.com/b0wwi4zf

The last paragraph:

As things stand, Flores will likely be returning to the Vikings and that's a huge win for head coach Kevin O'Connell.

Whatever it takes to not get pushed around come playoffs.

The gambling with pressure is fun for awhile but two seasons in a row of diminishing effectiveness will take improvement by Flores also. Not just additional talent.

Hard to tell with what he has to work with when you consider Cam is a 2nd String LT and the 2nd best lineman most of the year. A guy the Jags basically gave away.

I wonder what the terms are. Some were saying "blank check". I am like "whoa, slow down there. He's still has a lot to prove for that kinda talk".

I like our Head Coach.
I like our Defensive Coordinator.
I don't like our Offensive Line.

Who has this offensive line coach improved?

Has he turned Bradbury into a stud ? Has he solidified the guard spots ? Did he improve Ingram's pass blocking ? Did he improve Risner's run blocking ?

Is the OL unit on track to become a top 10 OL because of stellar coaching ?

Is Darrisaw successful because of raw talent and size, or has Kuper gave him so many great techniques, and is Kuper coming up with ways to keep Darrisaw healthy ?

How about O'Neill? He used to be arguably the best RT in the league. It seems like he is getting pushed around more the last few years, and is getting hurt more often.

Jeremiah Sirles and Alex Boone (who I wish was the Vikings OL coach) broke down the 9 sacks of Darnold against the Rams, and they had 4 or 5 of them on break downs from the OL, about 4 on Darnold (though a few more could also have been his fault, it's debatable).

Even if the Vikings improve a few of the players on the OL, if they're lacking in technique, or continuously making mental errors in big games, the line might be improved by an OL coach that has the unit playing very well in big games, instead of unit that tends to be nervous and is making errors.

Fix IT! How bad has the MIN Offensive Line been? Brian O'Neill was a replacement Pro Bowler in 2021 & No other Viking linemen has been named to a Pro Bowl since 2012 (Matt Kalil). Last Guard to be a Pro Bowler? Steve Hutchison in 2009 (15 yrs). Last Center? Matt Birk (2007)
