And a holding on the kickoff. That deserves a pass! First time I saw the new kickoff was yesterday on my phone - like: wtf?

By the exclamation point, I assume you are kidding ...

when your stat line has 3 or 4 entries for a game, penalties counting for 2 of those is no bueno.

I wasn't really kidding. But was putting myself in his place being as it was the first time i saw the new kickoff. Way different. So maybe sort of though. But i didn't see the game (much anyway) so i certainly don't see my judgements counting for anything. And tbc i wasn't throwing out any intentional digs, either

So who is getting cut Tuesday? Didn't see the game yesterday, but sounds like Cine is going to be gone.

Really?

To me it sounds like:

- game 2 = good
- game 3 = incomplete information

I think that flores instructed cine to play more free safety - no freelancing - watch out for the deep balls...all the talking heads think that cine is gone, except tyler forness...is kwesi really going to risk being wrong on cine twice?....

imo we keep him on the final 53....

IOW, is Kwesi going to double down on being wrong.

Hopefully he is not in charge of setting the roster.

Right I didnt take it as pointed towards me. I didnt watch the game at all, just read the play by play which is as informative as the old vibrating board game with the little plastc players and tiny felt football.

Yet fairly or unfairly, it seems to me that Cine has not earned a roster spot. We’ll find out soon enough.

‘Judgements’ sounds so definite, so conscientious … I prefer ‘slippery constantly-shifting opinion that I can squirm out of quickly when wrong.’

Is that because of Cine?

Is that because of Jackson/Ward?

There’s going to be a lot of movement in the next 24 hours, I think. I could see trying to suck in a couple of middle to late 2025 draft picks.

I dont think sacrificing a couple one year players is a bad idea. IF the backup has shown something in more than one preseason game against scrubs.

Absolutely. The move would seem to be more about the GM’s job security than the players affected.

I think Kwesi has improved from draft to draft.

True the 2024 draft which looks really good right now on paper is really 2024+half of 25 …

even so, the drafts seem to be getting more impactful as we go along.

No need to muck it up with with a double-down ponderish treadwellian effect.

They sure do

I like KFC, but I think he's misguided on his mission and glad he's gone!

Saw 10 min of highlights of the game. I thought Hall looked good. Made some good throws but mostly the highlights showed me what little I saw while watching on uzzu, his receivers were wide open! And I didn't see any bad throws on what I watched or the highlights - but I wouldn't would I?

Hater. OK ...

after posting three straight times ... to be followed by two posts throwing out the hater label ... there is no other way than to take that as directed at me.

{although Dan's seems self-directed}

Even so, if your post had nothing to do with me ... never mind.

Otherwise, I would say, if you're going to insult someone with 'hater' or 'floosy' or 'idiot' or the like, make it clear who you are referring to and why.

Indirectly throwing a punch from behind someone else's post, comes across as ... very weak sauce. To put it politely.

OK back to our regularly scheduled program.

Will Ragatz@WillRagatz
#Vikings cuts are underway.

QB Matt Corral
RB DeWayne McBride
TE Sammis Reyes
RB Mo Ibrahim
CB Jaylin Williams
TE Neal Johnson
WR Justin Hall
OLB Owen Porter
OL Chuck Filiaga
OL Doug Nester
OL Matt Cindric
OL Spencer Rolland
DL Tyler Manoa
CB A.J. Green III

... nothing surprising so far.

Doubt it happens but I can see KAM not wanting to pay S big money and Cine is on a rookie contract. I don't think that's their plan but I can kinda see how it would make some sense.

So what's the plan if this is Smith's final year?

Metellus (who is more of a S/Nickle/LB hybrid) and...?

I make no secret of my “ hate” for KFC..

Never have..

What I see is people hating on a player because if he sticks, and contributes, they are gonna look foolish..

Hater have hated on Hall, Cine, Addison, Favrey, Ponder, Carlson, Moss, Peterson..

On and on…

I’m not picking on any one person..

If you think I am, and you name is not Phil or Marty..,

Check yourself..

I think Hall was brought in to be what he is.. a solid backup better than Mullet.

Cine is processing through a horrible injury, and KAM is trying to get the player that showed promise at Georgia.

Since none of us have any control, I choose to see upside and a “ move the **** on”, from Harrison Smith, who likes Cine as well.

Until he doesn’t, I say he makes the 53.. because his trade value is less than his usefulness on defense..

We are trade shopping Bynum.

As we should..

We need picks for 2025..

Hell we could trade Bradbury or Risner as well..

Brzez can print out a contract, complete with two void years and a void year placeholder, in 30 seconds. 'Big money' is unlikely and it doesn't matter to him anyway.

I am not sure why you hate me Dan, I agree with most things you say (although I think you get harsh at times and lose your temper a little too easily), and I am usually on your side on many of the debates, and I really enjoy your writing style, your rants.

I am happy KFC is gone, even though he is a nice guy with a great arm, he has seemed to lack a few things that would lead towards greatness in the NFL. McCarthy might have some of the things Kirk lacks, hopefully we get see McCarthy develop in the next few years.

Lawd, I hope you didn't think I wrote, "I thought it was funny Dan calls anyone a hater ..." because you mentioned KC.

But why would you mention it? Is there anyone who knows Dan Young who doesn't know he hates KC? No! So, seriously why is it important to keep bringing it up?

I quote Purple Daily a lot, and I understand they aren't the 'be all', but they were mentioning that it's Bynum's side that might be asking/expecting it. Agree that Brzez can make it work. He always does. They just don't think that S is a high dollar position in BFlo's D.

Kind of like the Seinfeld episode where some guy was going to be selected for an apartment over George because the guy was a 'Dorian Gray' survivor.
