That was a fun half to watch. The bench is back with Shannon getting in on the action.

Monster beat down.

With Garza's entrance, the human victory cigar is lit with 5:06 left.

OKC are front runners.

Super talented and relentless with a big lead.

But they don’t have a guy who can put the team on his back when they’re behind.

They’re just not built for close games or comebacks - but to their credit they didn’t have many this year.

what do you make of the potential Indy Wolves matchup?

OKC is easily the best team in the NBA. I was a little early on saying that last year. They are an incredible and deep team. Very well coached!

I think Indy can beat them. They struggled with a depleted Denver team and Adelman outcoached Daigneault in a couple games.

They need to win it this year or next year because they can't keep this core together after that.

Shannon is older than Edwards. Both a statement on how Shannon is actually a mature player for a rookie, and how young Edwards still is despite being a high level player for while now.

Shannon and Clark too are energy guys. That’s what you need off the bench. Guys who can be aggressive, be a pest, on both ends.

When is the last time a healthy Edwards sat the entire 4th quarter. In a good way. Ever?

They scare me. They have, by far, the best coach left.

And they have a bunch of guys who can go off in any given game.

playoff Julius Randle is Exhibit A when discussing who is the best HC remaining. Exhibit B is the stifling D (similar to the last regular season game) and the phenomenal progress in player development. the wolves have everything they need to win the championship. I believe in this organization unlike anything I’ve seen in like forever

<edit>
wanted to also note that yesterday’s game was similar to the final regular season game between the teams, where the wolves D controlled the whole game

First quarter is back to game 1 and 2 script. Turnovers and second chance points.

Only down 8 at the half despite playing like crap. The OKC offensive rebounds are getting almost comical. The defense has been sloppy. On offense we consistently are getting steered into bad spots on the floor, picking up the dribble and forcing awkward passes. Other times they try to dribble through double teams.

The good news is they are still in it with Ant only taking two shots.

Cleaned it up a bit in the 3rd and losed the gap to 5. Still too many OKC offensive rebounds.

Lost by 2. Such a winnable game and they pissed it away.

Randle and Edwards held to 21 total points. Easy to blame that but the offense was more than good enough to win. They got contributions elsewhere and were still pretty effective. But they just couldn’t get stops when they needed them. Every time they got close OKC would come right back with a couple of easy baskets. The whole game “Okay, we cut their lead to 3…oh damn it’s 9 again.”

typical of Minnesota sports (at least on the mens side) get all the way to semifinals and crap out.

Clearly we need a capable PG. Dilly should have got a lot more minutes during the regular season so he was ready come playoff time. Finch needed to lean more on Shannon and Clark than he has.

Rudy looks like a mummy half the time.

24 second chance points killed us.

A basketball team got Trekkie's attention. That's something.

Yes they did.

But I still see the same problems I had 30+ years ago. Stars get away with murder on the court. Traveling doesn't get called when it clearly should, breath on a star and a foul is called. and now there's flopping. I know similar stuff happens in other sports like certain QBs getting the NBA star treatment etc....

Naz needs to toughen up if he can allow stringbean Chet Holmgren flatten him to the ground.

OKC is simply the REAL Deal. So much talent and very good coaching. I don't see anyone beating them.

Such a shame. OKC played as well as they possibly can, we played like shit and we were right there at the end.

They're such a beatable team.

I disagree. I thought OKC looked very beatable last night. Like David said, OKC played their A game and the Wolves only lost by 2 despite playing poorly.
