Fries is definitely Kwesi’s type.

Young, coming off a cheap deal and a major injury…

Predictions for Vikings FA

DT Milton Williams 4 yrs. 84M

RG Will Fries 4 yrs. 60M

LG Zeitler 2 yrs. 22M

CB Carlton Davis 4 yrs. 70M

DT Sheldon Rankins 1 yr. 8M

CB Paulson Adebo 4 yrs. 44M

I think we will be big spenders.

Nobody's predictions include a new center. Their is no pair of guards the Vikings could sign that would make Bradbury even serviceable.

The rationale that I've read is that they don't want to saddle JJM with having to deal with protection changes.

Protection changes? Adding a center who can pass block would be a protection change.

IOW there are no centers that can call blocking while the clock winds down to zero? Badbury must have pics of sheep of the entire NFL apparatus.

Badbury was drafted in 2019! He will be 30 by the time the season opens!

Does this nightmare ever end? Shall he play C for Minnesota until he's 35? 40?

Not really. That's a lot-a-bling for what should be a rotational back.

I'd like to see his load lightened a little along with an upgrade at RB#2, but Jones is more than a rotational back.

We didn't need him. We have Bradbury.

Per colleague Jeremy Fowler, free agent DT Jonathan Allen plans to visit the Vikings. Allen overlapped in Washington with Vikings HC Kevin O'Connell when O'Connell was an assistant coach there.

Per numerous sources, Darnold has agreed to a three-year, $100.5 million contract with the Seattle Seahawks during the “legal tampering” period of free agency. The deal includes $55 million in guaranteed money.

Isaiah Rodgers is headed to the NFC North. Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Rodgers has agreed to a two-year contract with the Vikings. Schefter notes the deal is worth $15 million with $8 million fully guaranteed. Rodgers, 27, appeared in 15 games with three starts for Philadelphia in 2024.

Rodgers is a solid outside CB that grades out well.

But he's only 5'9 and ran a 4.5.

------

VIKINGS FREE AGENT SPOTLIGHT: Isaiah Rodgers

Isaiah Rodgers is a sneaky value guy on the market this year. He is a very versatile player with run game impact, coverage ability, and special teams ability. PFF ranked him as the 20th best CB in football in 2024. Rodgers only missed three tackles on the year and forced a fumble, on top of 3PBUs. Rodgers is only 27 and his best football is ahead of him.

Safety Camryn Bynum has agreed to a four-year, $60 million deal with the Indianapolis Colts, according to numerous sources.

Numerous sources are reporting that the Jaguars have agreed to terms with both quarterback Nick Mullens and tight end Johnny Mundt. Both of the deals are for two years, with Mullens getting $6.5 million and Mundt getting $5.5 million.

With the 3 million void for Jones and 4 million for Murphy wonder what the contracts really are......smoke and mirrors.

Just saw report from Schefter that we have signed Jonathan Allen to a 3 year deal. We got a big man for the middle of the defense, now let's get Fries!
