remember, o'connell really wanted to keep cousins, and we were willing to pay him $35-$40mm/yr...this, just one year ago....

our qb #1 is coming off knee surgery and has never played a down in the NFL regular season...and our backup was acquired for a 2026 6th round pick....

i'm not a pro cousins guy...i want mccarthy to succeed all the way...but some people run our team that still like cousins...plenty....

Can't wait until this is no longer true. It's been said enough times.

i am into it, believe me...as much as anyone...i'm only exposing how I think the front office could be viewing it...o'connell really likes cousins - that's a fact...we're built to win now and we've spent a lot of cash to get there - that's why I find it hard to believe they're content with howell as qb #2....

we are presently over $16mm under the cap....

Remember, O'Connell recently went into detail about how important draft picks are.

Remember, Kwesi has talked several times about the direction of the team and moving forward.

Remember, we just used the #10 overall pick on a QB.

Remember, Kwesi recently dumped Cousins.

Remember, O'Connell has said nothing but good things about JJM.

Just who are these people that "run our team that still like Cousins"? And like him enough to fork over draft picks and giving him an eight-figure contract?

All that for a 37 year old who fell off the cliff?

$16M in cap.

$10M down payment for Asante Samuel, $6M for in season transactions.

Two Teams Might Be in the Hunt for Kirk Cousins

The Saints and Steelers are the main candidates for the QB as he sits and waits for a potential trade.

Please, please let this be true where one team signs him to an iron-clad forever contract.

The Vikings offered a 2 year deal with about $50 to $60 million guaranteed. They were willing to pay him that before he played poorly enough to lose his starting job. If the Vikings were to trade for him, they would inherit three years of contract with $37.5 million in guaranteed money left on it. Cousins has a no trade clause and wants to go to a team where he can start. COUSINS AIN'T COMING BACK!

O'Connell loved Cousins so much that the Vikings offered him a contract that was worth roughly half of what he could get somewhere else. They knew he would never accept it.

I expect that as soon as one of those teams signs Erin Rodgers the other will trade for Cousins.

O'Connell loved him so much yet Kwesi only offered a one-year, no bells & whistles deal knowing Cousins would go berserk. Sort of poison-pilled his ass.

One would think KOC and KAM would be bitter enemies after that stunt. Yet here we are.

Hopefully that person gets released before the season starts.

Murphy, Metellus ... I don't even care.

We know it won't be Harry ... nobody wants to see the Charleston.

Nice to see Jefferson being a full participant in the voluntary OTAs.

Apparently he normally skips them, but the entire offense showed up this year.

Something I didn't know.

At the combine, JJ McCarthy's 61 MPH max velocity fell one mile per hour short of the event record (62, held by Joe Milton and Josh Allen).
