13. Minnesota Vikings
The pick: Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU
Yes, the Vikings are getting adequate play from the cornerback position this year, but the group can stand for a significant upgrade and someone who plays into the future of the team. Delane made a multi-million dollar decision to transfer to LSU and he stands as my CB1 until further notice. All he does is make plays, and a Minnesota defense that has punked their opponents with defensive playmakers will be thrilled to add him to that format.

13. Minnesota Vikings: Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee
In a weak cornerback class, McCoy's injury won't be enough to dissuade a Minnesota team that is getting very thin in the secondary from taking someone who is a ferocious man-coverage DB with the ability to tackle in the open field.

Clearly, McCoy is our guy!

Is it possible McCarthy is a guy who doesn't always show much in practice, but turns it up a notch when in a game?

So KOC might then be underestimating McCarthy?

I could see this being kind of game where the Vikings are up 10 at halftime, but then end up losing it.

7 of 8 quarters would say otherwise.

He's got it for sure. He just needs experience so his mechanics don't go all whacky when he gets sped up.

It's amazing what having our starters (most) back on the OLine does.

The big thing is he doesn’t need to throw for 300 yards to win.

It also helps when our D was able to play all starters for the first time since game 1 of the season.

Very true. Gink, you could tell, wasn't 100%, but he makes a big difference.

Need a CB. Will we be buyers after this win? Plenty of extra draft picks next year.

Wilson looks really good in Pace’s spot. Run defense was really good. Even Hargrove was making plays.

That's the largest upset of the season based on point spread. Vikings were 9.5 point underdogs, the largest of Kevin O'Connell's tenure in Minnesota. He trusted J.J. McCarthy when it counted. A new season...

most of the bets were one the lions....

most of the money was on the lions....

Couple of bad things:
Not running the ball on 2nd and 3rd down at the 1 and late 4th.

How hurt is Jones.

ST did some things but gave some away.

Is the Chargers CB that wasn’t signed due to injuries still available (Samuel)?

Trade a 7th rounder for QB Anthony Richardson. Could be our short yardage guy

Love the physicality.

Did not think our health and production would come together all at once.

Its only one game on Nov. 2nd … see if we can sustain some this going forward but both Flores and KOC kinda made clear what their focus was and kept at it with minimal cutsie-ness.

I’m very very biased but I just dont think Kirk would have had the moxie to throw into tight coverage on that final third down play. Sam the human compass would have been running in a giant circle in the opposite direction with marty feldman eyes.

You think they would do that? Cap probably wouldn’t work.
