I’m wondering if we have any interest in the edge/de inside-outside dudes like Falk, Young and maybe Mesidor as a way of improving the DL.

Since they seem higher rated than any of the DTs.

Maybe after a small trade down?

Yeah we might. Think I'll change my draft to Young in the 1st

lol. I didn’t want to copy so I had to grab for some new straws.

Value wise, a bit of a trade down and drafting a premium position sounds pretty good. Probably hinges on whether they move Greenard.

Based on the name, Thieneman sounds like a Viking because the name is similar to Thielen.

Note: this method of determination has rarely worked in the past.

So many commercials between picks.

According to some Grenard is already gone.....it just isn't official information.

Have the Minnesota Vikings already traded Jonathan Greenard? If so,
@OllieConnolly
accidentally let it slip on his latest
@ReadOptional
podcast episode.

Jon: “OK, Philly is on the clock here. You’re saying they’re getting Jonathan Greenard, huh? Is this breaking news or is this out there?”
Ollie: “I assume it’s out there, right?
Jon: “I don’t think so, Ollie.
Ollie: “Okay. Uh-oh…”
Jon: “You’re gonna get aggregated.”
Ollie: “Uhhh…This has become trickier. I think the EDGE need will be sold on the second and third day of the draft, both through a trade and trying to find one of the real speedsters off the ball, adding an extra pass-rusher to the mix.”

Draft Day Non-BPA mock, because BPA is no fun.

#23. Trade down from #18 for Philadelphia's 3rd (98) and 4th (137). S Dillon Thieneman. Think Harrison Smith with range. Versatility will allow mad scientist Flores to conjure up untold new defensive alignments with Josh Metellus. Risk minimized as Minnesota rumored to love S McNeil-Warren.

#49. CB Brandon Cisse. Not finding a DT fit in mid-second round, the Vikes pivot to premium position in secondary with this twitchy CB well versed in zone and man schemes.

#82. DT Darrell Jackson Jr. Massive mauler-type human being who can set the edge but will move inside on 3rd and short.

#97. C Sam Hecht. Vikings complete OL rebuild after two decades.

#98 (from Philadelphia). RB X. Minnesota takes advantage of a deep RB class to nab the replacement for soon-to-be UFAs Mason and Jones.

#137 (from Philadelphia). Trade for Washington Commanders 2027 3rd round selection.

5th, 6th, 7th. WR and OT boom/bust types, athletic freaks, malcontents. Focus is on big WR.

If Greenard is traded, Vikes go after an Edge at #49 or other team's pick, depending.

I’m teally warming up to Jackson, added him to my draft challenge list … s-cb combo + dt would be allow for a offensive free for all the rest of the way.

Wow the draft is tonight and I haven't even looked at it. Too busy roadtripping across the country and moving back to the USA in Sedona.

The kind of draft you'll nod and say you guess that works. Nothing flashy. Have to hit 4 solids to start filling cupboards left bare by Queazy.

After the misery of Kwesi right out of the gate, it's at least a breath of fresh air. And "they" said the regime will go with production over flash early.

Concerned KOC might say the hell with that as he gets fixated on offensive glory. Ideally in that case Flores will body slam him.

Listening to Dan B and our worst draft with 2 first rounders in history with Williamson at 7 and Erasmus James at 18 21 years ago was run by Brezenski. Tice was the HC.

Not for a RB, for sure.

But if they can trade up for Downs, without paying too much...

feeling like we are getting close to trade up for Downs time...

I feel like he doesn't get past the Cowboys...what is the trade up cost to 11?

Dolphins probably really want to trade down
