Exactly.

One thing is absolutely certain. If we stick with Murray at all, this team is doomed to fail dramatically.

What this offense really needs right now is a game manager at QB. Wentz can do that. Get a Taylor to eat up yards and keep the sticks moving and make play action more effective with Wentz able to find the open guys...and this team rolls over most teams.

1. Daniel Jones
2. Kirk Cousins
3. Geno Smith
4. Justin Herbert
5. Mac Jones

He did list the last two as highly unlikely.

Honestly, I don't want Cousins back. Smith doesn't make sense because the Jets got nobody to replace him. Herbert would cost too much against the cap and in draft capital and the 49ers are not going to trade Jones, their primary backup, in the middle of a season to another playoff NFC team they are playing in a couple weeks.


So it really comes down to trading for Jones, Riding Wentz or sticking with what we already know doesn't work in Kyler Murray. None of those options gets me overly excited.

I have a bad feeling they are going to go with opton 3 at this point.
