He did list the last two as highly unlikely.

Honestly, I don't want Cousins back. Smith doesn't make sense because the Jets got nobody to replace him. Herbert would cost too much against the cap and in draft capital and the 49ers are not going to trade Jones, their primary backup, in the middle of a season to another playoff NFC team they are playing in a couple weeks.


So it really comes down to trading for Jones, Riding Wentz or sticking with what we already know doesn't work in Kyler Murray. None of those options gets me overly excited.

I have a bad feeling they are going to go with opton 3 at this point.
