I think if the Vikes make it to the Super Bowl, they'll be 3 1/2 point favorites over Jax, or about a 6 point underdog to NE.

If it's Philly, I think Philly would be a 6 point dog to Jax, and a 12 point dog to NE.

'Sway' 101 - Give the team the bettors favored some ticky tack calls and a few non calls in the 1st half, and then favor the other team entirely in the 2nd half with calls and non calls.

This is what yesterday's game felt like, the Saints seemed to get all the questionable calls and non calls in the 2nd half.

I was surprised Payton didn't win his 2nd challenge, and was halfway expecting the ref to find a foot out of bounds, a footprint on the white line, a knee down, or SOMETHING against the Vikes on the final play.

The Saints had the point spread covered, even if the Vikes got a FG, and it took a miracle for the Vikes to have a shot at covering. There was more betting on the Vikes to cover 3 1/2 - 4 1/2, must have been close to even betting at 5, or it would have went higher.

We have a thread for this. It's called conspiracy theories in the Lounge Area.

It doesn't need it's own. Sorry.

Sure Ian, no problem whatsoever. I guess I was limiting my thinking in thinking it needed to be in a sports area. I'll just go mix in some 'sway' and subconscious injuries right in with government global conspiracies, JFK, etc ....

I'm not talking about either of those things to piss anyone off, I am really hoping to find a few people willing to, and interested in talking about such things.

The sway theory is a gambling theory that isnt exclusive to the Vikings. THAT is why it doesn't deserve it's own thread, especially here within Vikings-based conversations.

I wasn't arguing that it SHOULD, I am agreeing with you; ( it just sounds a little silly next to some of the governmental conspiracy things.

I guess I am hoping to find a little niche with it somewhere, and hoping some posters will take up the conversation on it a little bit, and maybe expand on it. I never really wanted to upset anybody with 'sways' or subconscious minds allowing injuries, and was initially a little surprised that it upset some people, but I am a little more understanding about that now. Thank you for your time on this matter.

Carolina had no weapons outside of McCaffrey and Olsen and still moved the ball at will against Saints. We just need to get TDs instead of FGs.

Since Brad has left the site, I'll be the one to pat myself on the back for this prediction(score).

IF Diggs scores the 1st TD of the game at Philly, Vikings will win.

Vikings/Jaguars in the Super Bowl

Tom Brady allowed himself to be hurt either because after seeing film on the Jags, he realizes he would have to do a lot and there is a pretty good chance the Pats will lose, or he is trying to motivate his defense to play a really good game, because they might feel going in that they have to, that they need to pick up the slack for their injured QB.

Vikings 34-16 over Eagles. No miracle required. Just a clinic.

Vikes Jags in Super Bowl.

I think we are in for another miracle. This time it will be the Philly kicker missing a potential game winner at the end of regulation.

It would be like Brad to be a no show when we win over something petty like a poll....

Seems like this one could be rather low scoring. Vikings D should be able to hold PHI's O in check. Vikings O just needs to play smart and methodical and grind out a win.

MIN: 20
PHI: 13

In the other game, I think JAX will prove to be a handful for NE, but unlike PIT, NE will make just enough big plays to win.

NE: 24
JAX: 20

Seems like he saw what was coming inevitably and wanted no part of it.

JC is at least desperately trying to get back.
