Just like last week, I changed my mind on gameday.  This will NOT be that close of a game.

I think you're right Chris.  Thankfully Peterson is coming of a mediocre week, I think he'll be explosive and Harvin will be the talk of the night.  Harvin will make his case for ROY with a big night.  Harvin will get a special teams' TD, will have one as a WR, and he'll also THROW a TD to Berrian.

The Vikings' defense will also have a TD, I think Winfield will strip the ball from Jennings and take one to the house.  The Packers will get a TD and a FG late, but it will be 41-21 at one point.

VIKINGS 41 GB 31

I will be disappointed if the Defense gives up 31 points, Marty, but I'll take it, because I think it will be some big plays that get behind the safeties.

I would love to see the huge offensive production, though.

I'd be thrilled to see Percy be connected to not just 3, but 4 TD's

Return, Catch, Run, and Pass (I love that...this is what will make Harvin special in the wildcat and will make the wildcat work this season!) for TD's!

That is the breakout game we are looking for!

This game makes me nervous. I'm hoping the 3-4 doesn't make Chili try a bunch of stupid trick plays and get away from who we are and what we do best. Three wide is definitely something we should do more of especially tonight. We better have some pass protection or Kampmann may have a big night.

I still feel a win but I don't think it will be as easy as some think and I do think it will be close. Unless, of course, GB can't stop the man-beast AD.

I'm a little bit uneasy because MANY Packer fans I ran into are quite nervous about their team, while Viking fans had kind of a swagger.  You know, like the Vikes are at home, they won last week, they have Favre ....

When Packer fans have had the 'swagger' in the past, that is when I was quite sure their team would LOSE, and they usually did.  When they are nervous, their team usually WON, unless they were playing the Cowboys .

But, I'm still sticking with my 41-31 prediction with a BIG night for Harvin.  I also think Rodgers will play almost perfectly, unless there is signficant pressure.

7 sacks was that significant enough ?

But I have to say the fudgies made the right move letting Favre go Rodgers was incredible when you take into account the pressure he was under all night !

Vikings 38 Rams 7

Both backs go for 100+ yards

One of our two beleaguered safeties scores a defensive TD.

#4 is out by the 4th quarter, but keeps his helmet on.

The only annoying thing is Peterson and the running game just can't get going - even against bums like the Lambs

7-6, TERRIBLE weak after going 12-2 last week.

BUT, it's NOT easy getting scores right:

Washington at Carolina - Close game, Panthers win on a FG
Carolina 20 Washington 17

New England at Denver (OT) - Tom Brady finds a way as Prater blows game winner in regulation.

Denver 20 Denver 17

Had BOTH of these scores right, but had NE winning it in OT (cool the game WENT to OT), except mistakenly put Denver instead of NE with the 20, which ended up being right.  But I couldn't go wrong as I had Denver mistakenly on BOTH scores.

Also, I was fairly close on Vikings:

Minnesota at St. Louis - All cylindars work, big day for Chester Taylor
Minnesota 41 St. Louis 17

It WAS a big day for Chester Taylor as his 1 TD (had Ryan Grant on a bye) helped me knock off an undefeated team in fantasy football with co-workers.  The Vikings' defense and Lonwell also pitched in.

Also, I knocked off ANOTHER undefeated team in fantasy football, and he had almost ALL Vikings (which saddened me a bit).  The guy had QB Brett Favre, RB Chester Taylor, WR Bernard Berrian, WR Percy Harvin, TE Vasante Shiancoe, D- MN, K- Longwell.  Also ex-Viking WR Nate Burleson.

His only starter NOT Vikings (or ex) were RB Brandon Jacobs and WR Terrell Owens.  The cool part is my team won in part because I have RB ADRIAN PETERSON in that league.

Ravens losing might hurt the Vikes BIG TIME !

I would MUCH rather have the Ravens coming off a win, then have them coming off a TWO game losing streak.  This is a GOOD team, and now they are MAD.  It doesn't look good for the Vikings, the but the Vikings have looked good.

Time to take care of business at home, against a team that DOES have some weaknesses in their 2ndary.  Time to knock them out while they are down.  It'll make the road trip (at Pitts and GB) A LOT easier if the Vikes can take care of this one.

I see no reason to fear the Ravens....2 losses in a row or not.  Their once hot offense has slowed down to a simmer and they have been gashed on defense.  Ray Lewis is a stud, but as a LB he's getting old....Ed Reed has more big play ability than Lewis (Although Lewis can still hit a ton....ask Ocho) and Favre will need to look him off and make sure he's not in the vicinity of the pass.....I really think we can not only hang with Baltimore, but beat htem going away.  The key to this game IMO is the OLine has got to open up some holes for Peterson......

THAT is why I think there is a decent chance the Vikes will LOSE to the Ravens.  I think the Vikes will take them a little lightly because they're coming off 2 losses, and that is a mistake.  Thankfully the game is at home, and the Ravens have shown a little vulnerability in the 2ndary.

No way we take them lightly.  The Rams are a team  you take lightly, not the Ravens.

I agree. There is no way that the Vikings players or coaches will take the Ravens lightly. This is a formidable opponent and they're going to do whatever it takes to prepare for them.

Big difference between not fearing and not respecting the Ravens.  I think this Viking team is talented enough that they should fear no other team in this league.....however, if they do not respect them and take any team too lightly, they will fail.  Respect and Fear....two different things entirely!

Would NOT surprise me to see the Vikes LOSE to Baltimore, and then go on the road and beat Pittsburgh AND GB.

I think it's REALLY unfortunate Baltimore didn't WIN last week.  I also don't like the LOW point spread of Vikes favored by 2 1/2, who WOULDN'T pick the Vikes ?  Should most of the money be on the Vikes, you know where the refs could end up being in a 'sway' .

This is going to be a tough football game.  We certainly have had an entertaining home slate thus far....we'll be cranking it up by 7AM per usual in the tailgatiing lot.

Vikes 23, Ravens 21
