Bruins and Wings hand out ass-kickings today
Guess Ducks/Sharks resume Sunday
Another classic in ChiTown tonight so far.

Chi is surprising me quite a bit.  I thought Cal grit would wear the young guys out.  Not so far.

Yep, amazed so far at that myself.
CalGary jumps out 2-0, pretty hard to score 3 and hold them to none after that.
Maybe the Hawks are for real.

Fun game in Philly today.
There is NOTHING that compares to the energy in a building in Game 3, when the local boys are down 2-0 and need some help.
That was an awesome first period, intense and nasty and fast.
Some great effort. I do have one complaint .... I really don't have a horse (or didn't) when this series started, but the way the officials are protecting the Pitt stars is brutal and has swung my allegiance to the Phlyers. Some of the calls today were ridiculous.
More interested in Pierre McGuires color now that he is in the mix for our GM job. Seems very in-tune. I like him.
He really played up Captain Richards all day, but deservedly so, he had a hell of a day. What a leader.
He and Carter are what the league needs more of, and what the Wild need more of ... large, fast, talented forwards who go hard and are dangerous all over the ice.

Bah, Canucks win again.
Feel free to follow my advice in Game 4, St Louis.
Take one for the league.

The UND boys (Zajac and Parise) leading NJ ... they take back home-ice with an OT win in Carolina tonight.
Good, even series.

Wow, the Ducks are about to go up 2-0 on the road.
The Sharks continue to struggle when it matters most.
The Ducks are getting great contributions from young guys, not just their grizzled vets.
All new guys scored for them tonight.
And their goalie, of course. Familiar m.o. there for years, it's just switched from Giguere to Hiller now.

There is no one out there playing that I have an interest in

No I'm not

Really Hockey is my 4th favorite sport, maybe 5th with NASCAR in the mix

I'm more of a Wild fan then a Hockey fan

Ovie and the Caps answering the bell tonight.
Told ya .... MSG is NOT home-ice advantage.
The Rangers play tight there. Visitors enjoy the hell out of playing there.

Bruins are up on Montreal late as well.

I've seen two games from every series now, and  ....
I'll be very surprised if  Detroit and Boston are not in the finals.
Don't want either one of them, but they sure look a notch above to me.
One of my best friends grew up playing with one of the Bruins, so I have some interest in them.

Cammalleri for the Flames and Havlat for the Hawks were names being bandied about re: FA.
I'd gladly take either.
Both are having exceptional playoffs so far.

I want the Jackets to whoop some ass tonight on the Wings.  Our friend Andy Lowe will be there and Jacket fans deserve to get back in this thing.

Bah! No fun tonight ...

Wings too good for the jackets
Vancouver too much for the Blues
Carolina all over the Devils
Pitt handling the Phlyers

None of the outcomes I wanted.

Sharks finally take a game. Series is 2-1 Ducks.
Devils and Canes head back to Jersey tied at 2-2
Pens are up 3-1 on the Phlyers, heading back home
Red Wings up 3-1 on the Blue Jackets.
Canucks ended the Blues season in a 4-0 sweep.

Bruins finish off the Sweep
Rangers up 3-1 headed back to Washington. Lundqvist was phenomenal.
Calgary evens up the series at 2 apiece, headed back to Chicago. Chicago tougher than people think.

Yeap, CHI will be dominant in a couple of years.  Little 8 year old Kane (he look it at least) is one hell of a player.

I hate any playoffs in which Sean Avery is winning anything.

Me too but they will take out the Caps

I really want to see the Caps move on for a couple of reasons:

best player (and most exciting) on the planet
they have a Niklas Backstrom and a #55 Schultz.  It's as close to home as it gets for us

Great effort by Philly tonight.
Textbook shut-down hockey.
Crosby and Malkin played well, but Philly just smothered them near the net, and no one else is stepping up.
Philly's stars aren't scoring, but their secondary guys are ALL stepping up.
Thats playoff hockey.
Wings finished off Columbus, that was a wild game. Not too many 6-5 finishes in the playoffs.
Jersey took back command, great effort there too. Some real old vets on that team.
Love their powerplay with Paulie Martin and Brian Rolston up top, why couldn't we have that tandem doing it here for the Wild?
I sure hope we start seeing some of these guys return to Minnesota before they are over the hill, the Parises, the Martins, Vaneks, Kessels, etc.
The UND guys too, there are a ton of them who are great pros. Start sprinkling them back into our roster when they become available.
