Hockeys a community in this state.
if you haven't met the kid, you've talked to coaches who have coached him, or scouts who have scouted him.
His personal story is incredible. Has helped care for disabled family members, while being a prodigy and incredible student.
Easy to pull for kids like that.

That was a bit of a surprise to me. He is a high energy player, but his shot was never the most accurate in the league. I'm a bit concerned right now with the Hawks and their lack of awareness and discipline on defense and in transition. They've given away several breakaways and their penalty kill units have looked awful. There are a lot of new faces in the lineup so I will wait until I go completely into agita mode, but it's enough to have me a bit jumpy at the moment.

Oh, Lynn, how soon you forgot the Dollar Bill Wirtz-Alpo Suhonen-Brian Sutter-Trent Yawney-Denis Sevard era of Chicago hockey. Not pretty, but it was nice to spend 35 bucks for a ticket and sit behind the glass because nobody else showed up!

Don't like either team, but loved how they jumped in for each other.
Still a sport where you have to have a deep respect for your teammates, if you want to do it right.
Not afraid to defend a brother.

Iron Mike was touched to tears
Very emotional for them ... being in the spotlight, they sometimes forget to revel in the stuff that makes their lives so great.
You could just see the relief of years of expectations and hopes. Very cool I thought.

It appears The Oil are finally putting it together.
Scary if it happens for all of them at the same time, lots of big names in the prospect category.
