The Sutter and Ruff firings are bad moves, in my opinion. Predictions for the playoffs: Caps in the East, and Hawks in the West. I feel really hinky about the Hawks this time around, though. I also think I would've picked the Pens over the Caps in the East, but Letang appears to be done for a while.

Ooooooooo, our Blackhawk buddy Joe goes right for the jugular.
He may not be as nice a person as he has led us to believe.

There is no higher power , if the Blackhawks are given another Cup.
I mean come on.
No fan base should be that spoiled.
Well, except for the Pats and Spurs and Giants.

Ha! I think the Hawks are the best team in the West. That is not diminishing the Wild by any stretch. They are a talented team. That being said, I am feeling a little shaky about the Hawks in the early rounds. Crawford looks a little unfocused right now and Seabrook can't skate over the blue line without tripping on it.

THIS is demoralizing ...

.. Seven rookies collected 105 points for the Chicago Blackhawks, who are fighting for an amazing fourth Stanley Cup since 2010.

There was that one year CC had the most 'hits' (subjective, I know but hey, it's something) in the league!

And, you think we're bad???

You should hear the sports talk here in DC. They are terrified of the Caps getting knocked out early again. Hell, they prayed for Toronto becuase they were scared to death of Tampa

Don't even bring up the 2nd round or they pee themselves.

It's such an interesting watch
Winners want the playoff pressure
They thrive this time of year.
Losers worry about what can go wrong.
And almost will it to happen.
Such a hard hurdle to climb over.
And here we go .......

This year will be a huge tell
Because the Caos are CLEARLY the best team
It's been questionable other years
This year it's not debateable.
No weaknesses. Filled every tiny crack
If they don't win this year it will be due to choking
Pure and simple. That's why they're panicking.
Pressure is real.

It's all that and they know Ov8 isn't getting younger and that team will look quite different next year. I would LOVE to see us versus them. Damn that would be fun. It'll probably end up being the Pens/Hawks again though. Puke.

The pens had (in my opinion) the best shot to come out of the East UNTIL Letang got hurt. He's not the favorite player of anyone unless you are a fan of the pens. I would love to see him with an Indian Head on his sweater. With him out, though, the caps have to be the favorite. But pressure and expectations can be the great equalizer a lot of the time.

Pretty amazing
Zero Canadien teams in last year
Five this year, with a couple having good shots to advance

Should be damn fun having a club there
Even tho I'm still glad I'm not in charge of any team going in there for a game.

I am impressed by Kessel. He looks like one of the ushers, but he plays his ass off and never gets very tired.

Preds have one goal in three shots. Pretty good goal-shot ratio.

Never mistake activity for achievement, as my father has told me many times. The Hawks look good, but cannot seem to generate any goals. I was worried about this matchup.
