We've made a boat load of bad decisions since inception. That one, hands down, will go down as the biggest 'oh no, what did we do' of them all.

Wasn't that great move just a couple of years after letting Gaborik get away without getting so much as a bag of pucks for him? Some really top notch management has kept the state of hockey from seeing a Cup run. Hope Leo has seen enough soon....

I would vote that the dumbest move was naming them the Wild. It's the dumbest name in professional sports.

Huge night in the NHL
Expecting a bloodbath in Nashville, one way or the other.
Neither group will go down quietly there.
Preds had better not take their foot off it

Notice how that game starts at a normal 7PM tonight?
I hate how any team west of Chicago doesn't even exist in the Bettman's mind.
No way they ever grow thier fanbase the way they run things.

I remember the night they announced it Patrick Ruesse was on Rosen's Sport Sunday or some show and He had the best line - "I guess it tested really well among 10 year olds".

I am over/used to it. Don't even mind it to almost like it, would rather of gotten North Stars night rebooted but all in all it's fine. I remember at that time high schools were dumping their Native American names and the hot mascot name formula was the desire to have names that didn't end is S.

Saw Thunder a lot including the small town I was living in. I actually thought we might go with Moose, as their minor league merchandise was quite popular.

We're 7 minutes in, and the Hawks look beat already. They are getting outworked, outskated, and outhit. I can't figure it out, so I might go play PlayStation for a while.

Check that, 3rd goal was not puck luck. It was a beauty of a play.

The preds have made this series look easy. My guys have no answer for the defensive puzzle that they have seen this series. Seabrook looks slow and sort of lost right now. Some pretty big changes are coming in the offseason, I think.

Subban doing the old "Bobby Orr" around his own net was just rubbing it in their noses. I don't like that shit at all.....he is no Bobby Orr!

He's a good player, but he played a pretty dickish few games. But, how bad did the Hawks look? I'm kind of stunned by their play. Nashville played well, but the Hawks had nothing for four games.

Yeah, I find it interesting that 2 of the top 4 teams during the regular season are already out and the Wild are just one lose from joining them. I think part of it is parity, but another part is the way the game is played, and more importantly the way it is called by the refs. Regular seaon play is no baramoter for playoff play that's for sure. Almost makes me wonder why not start the playoffs earlier in the year and let every team compete in the playoffs.

First time since the '94 format began ... that a #1 seed has gone down in the opening round.
That seems impossible
Nashville has been a machine. No one wants to face them right now.
The Hawks lost their final 8 games this year After being unbeatable for a month.

The thought of the Blue Jackets and the Blackhawks BOTH being eliminated already ... is mind-blowing. (if you watched the regular season at all)

Following nicely in the Paulie Martin Matt Niskanen footsteps

With the Wild and Caps (not so much there, I think they take it in 6) not far behind. It would be, as you put it, mind-blowing.

Yeah, they are just screwing themselves with these idiotic decisions. Not to mention they are also going up against NBA playoffs.

Another dirty hit by Kadri and the clowns on NBC saying it was a legal hit and shouldn't have been a penalty. Kadri takes out one of the NHL's biggest draws with dirty hit to the knee and only gets 2 minutes for tripping. How many times does that prick have to hit people like that before they do something about him? Have to admit there are times when I wish the old school goons were still around to take out the Kadri's of the league.

Happy to see Ov8 back out on the ice to start the 2nd period. And the clowns at NBC still doing nothing but making excuses for Kadri....
