Thanks, you solid dudes.
Enjoy the heck out of both of you.
Appreciate the thoughts.
Was hoping the Wild would give me an announcement today, that they've hired a young, energetic, go-getter as their GM, and they are beginning immediately to build a SC winner.
Nothing yet ...

Scott if you have the day off for your BD, you should drive over to Milw to see the Aeros close out the series

So yesterday you had to be nice to your wife for Mother's Day, and today she has to be nice to you for your birthday.

What are you going to do tomorrow?

Hmmm. I suppose I should say ... being nice to everybody? I'm working on that.
Seems like I have shared Mothers Day a lot of times now ...
Which works good, because I try not to make a big deal out of getting a year older.

Exactly Jeff... wishes do come true... Vancouver got ousted.
The city of Chicago is loving the Hawks. Good for them.
You said it best, hard to pull for them with our history, but this is a new day in the NHL.
(I've always loved their jersey, even when I hated the guys wearing it)
Huge win by the Caps, God they had fun celebrating, I would too. Wasn't looking good.
Great hockey. As usual this time of year.

Simply amazing that ex-Goph Alex Goligoski can end one the week playing in Scranton for the Pens minor-league club, and then by  the start of the next, he's RUNNING the pens powerplay with Crosby and Malkin.
Somethings not right there. If he's that good ( I think he is) he should be with the big club always, not just when Gonchar goes down. Crazy.
The NHL is lucky that the Pens didn't score on that penalty the refs called in the last 2 minutes. Bogus. Bogus. Bogus. You have every right to chop down on an opposing players stick. The stick did not break, it actually bounced back up and into Kunitz's hands, and HE took his free hand off and held the defender. The Caps were livid and had every right to be. Strange call at an incredible time.
All worked out tho.

Did you see the look on Boudreau's face?

He looked like my dad when I accidentally flooded the barn one year.

And you are right.  That wasn't a penalty.  They need to get rid of that rule.  It's a perfectly legit rule.  Is it my fault that your crappy stick snapped?  Get an old Christian.  Those things could take anything!

Bad night for my teams.
Some fun hockey tho.
It is amazing what Detroit has done in the third period of games.
Its like they are machines, they get stronger.
Ducks with the usual embarassing end to a game, 4 or 5 incidents, every one started by a Duck.
In the real world, Getzlaf, Neidermeyer, and Pronger should be out of Game 7.
The whole "punch/elbow a guy in the head with your glove/stick" is what ruins hockey, not the "drop your gloves". And the Ducks are masters of it.
3 Game 7s out of the 4 series. One of the best semi-rounds ever, imo.

But in that series the team that has scored first has lost.

When one of your sports best players is this humble, you've got a helluva game.
Great interview.
This is how you are supposed to handle success.
The other sports should take note. Never takes credit personally. Credits his team and honors his opponent.
Great lessons.

Couldn't agree more SM, this is a prime example of the ancillary benefit, that non hockey people can't grasp.

Getting really sick of the PTI/First take and all the other new england sports boys, making cracks about the NHL is horrible because it is on VS vs ESPmoNopoly. How many of these guys have sprewed the I can't find Versus on my dish? Well if you are looking and you can't find? We will send Tommy Boy over to hit you with a tack hammer because you are a retard. It is channel 603 on my DirectTV and ESPN is 206, not too difficult, Direct TV makes it quite simple to find stations. In the last couple of days, watching in ten minute intervals I have caught Wilbon, Kornhieser, Woody from Denver and Skippy Clueless all mention how hard it is to find or watch hockey on Versus. Woody the idiot even started blaming Versus for his inability to follow the puck.

If sports doesn't work out these guys could make up arguments for Fox News.

When I posted that, it was more of "I hope we get the same" then anything else

Tim I have no problem finding Versus on my cable channel, in fact I get 2 of them, one in HD
