They beat Niagara 107-81 last night....Lynch with only 9 Blocks. Didn't watch it yet...was watching the Wolves beat SA.

My only concern for the Gophers is it appears they have no depth. I've mostly seen the same 5 guys on the floor all game. We're bound to have injuries, and when we do, that will be tough to overcome. This is why the injury to Curry will likely come back to haunt.

Injury to Curry was massive. Could be the difference between big title and lower division. Could be the difference between a long Tourney run and no tourney run.

Matters how much Fitzgerald and Hurt develop...neither one has quite the athleticism of Curry to block shots and be a defensive force but if they can do the other things we might be okay.

I think we will be OK or even better than OK, but having one more experienced athletic and defensively skilled big would do wonders for this team. Hopefully Fitz and Hurt will be better than expected.

Didn't see this one, but it sounds like they persevered with Lynch out much of the half and Murphy not doing much.
That kind of thing won't work against better teams.

24/11 for Murphy isn't much....it is one of his poorer games....

Two weeks into the Gophers regular season and Jordan Murphy was already named Big Ten player of the week for the second straight time Monday.

This is the first time a Gopher player was named Big Ten player of the week in consecutive weeks since the award started in 1981-82.

Before Shaka left VCU for Texas Jordan Murphy and Kenny Williams who is playing for UNC had agreed to play for Shaka....

The only other Gophers to win it twice in the same season:

Kris Humphries
Joel Przybiflsajlala
Quincy Lewis

Beat Alabama A&M by 43
Alabama A&M is ranked 350 out of 351 schools
Toughen up the old sched, boys.

Jordan Murphy, the Big Ten’s leading scorer and rebounder, had a team-high 20 points, 10 rebounds and four steals. Murphy, who became the U’s first back-to-back Big Ten player of the week winner Monday, picked up his fifth straight double-double.

Couple of pretty good opponents coming up SMF. Alabama and Miami are both ranked, and Miami is ranked higher than us. Looking forward to the games.

wow. Stepped away and a scuffle breaks out.

5 Bama players ejected for leaving the bench.

5 Bama players left and one just fouled out.

Time to stop taking it easy on them and put our foot on their throats.

No doubt.

Announcers bragging about what a performance by the remaining Bama players but we're not even trying.

A very odd end to that game. We did not try, refs gave them most of the calls. Unfortunate the game had to end that way. Would've liked to see it play out normally.

We were up by 10 or more most the game so I liked our chances.

Both our best players were not in there after the melee

It did get down to 3 at one point. We took it way too easy on them.
