29 points allowed in the last 7 minutes. 46 in the 2nd half.

What up/down team this is.

For most of the game they played zone. For some reason towards the end of the game they went man to man and the Illini seemed to make shots. They did exactly the same thing against Purdue late

Embarrassing.

Pathetic.

Humiliating.

Gutless.

Heartless.

Lazy.

Uninterested.

Slow-footed.

INEXCUSABLE.

Pick any of the above, and you've got my description of the game tonight.

Pete all of the above fits last night

How can a team fighting for a NCAA spot be so not ready to play a game against a poor team like Michigan. I can't remember seeing so many easy wide open points in the paint. This team is really sad when it comes to playing man on man and Tubby keeps them in that defense

Perfect, Pete.
Ridiculous effort in a game that should have meant everything to them.
Is this team closer to "getting over the hump", or closer to "sinking into oblivion"?
I'm beginning to doubt what has been going on here.
Michigan was motivated on many fronts, and I could see losing a tight game.
That game was over at the tip-off.

Happy, excited Westbrook is so much more fun to watch than depressed, lethargic Westbrook.
I've never seen a guy wear his emotions on his sleeve so much (and let it affect his play, and his team's play)
Too bad, really, he could have been something.
This squad CAN beat MSU if all goes well. They've dang near done it twice already this year.
Cut down on the mistakes at crucial times, they can win.

Didn't Michigan St just suspend a player? I'm thinking it was a kid named Allen, but not sure

Yep, Chris Allen, for "at least the opener" of the BT tourney, according to Izzo.
Can't hurt.

Was he a starter or big contributor?

Except for that horrible unexplainable Michigan game, they are playing pretty well right now. They absolutely can beat MSU but need a perfect alignment of the heavens to do it.

I went to the Iowa game last Sunday (free tickets).  Senior day and a festive atmosphere.  It was good to see Johnson and Westbrook play really well on their day of recognition, and Bostick the other senior made a contribution too.  But they were greatly aided by an Iowa squad that is the worst excuse for a big 10 basketball team I've seen in quite a while.  They looked more like a NSIC team.  And an average one at best.  What happened to that program?

I was at that game as well Karl.  I had the same impressions you had, I thought we played very well, shot extremely well (12-19 on 3s), and played extremely hard.  But Iowa is just terrible, they have no athleticism or height.  I felt bad for their PG, it was like he was the only one on the team that could handle the ball.

Should be an interesting game tonight.  We better show up or they'll embarrass us.  I love the way MSU plays with their physicality and prowess on the boards.

BTW, Damien Johnson being left off the all Big Ten defensive is pathetic f***ing joke.

Heading to overtime.

I hate how our idea of protecting a lead is running the clock all the way down and then having a guard fling a blind shot towards the hoop. We must have done it 4 or 5 times.

We got it but let me say this, RS3 might be the worst lineage of sports in history.  That guy is brutal.

He's crazy inconsistent. Just awful tonight. Thankfully Iverson had one of the best games of his career.

Iverson has been outplaying Sampson the last few games. By A lot. Thinking inside-out got MN the lead in this one. Hope they can get over trying to hand away games.

Big'un for Joseph also.

Congrats to Tubby on another 20-win season. FINALLY knock off M-State.

3rd longest streak of all time with 20-win seasons, Tubby behind only Dean Smith and Lute Olson.

Go get Purdue!

Unfortunately, I see them at 9-9 in conference, 10-8 at best. They may end up having to win two games in the conference tournament in order to make it to the big one.
