Sweens, pannder, do you guys think Tubby would leave after this season? He sure looked worn out during that game Tuesday. Personally, I've become more disappointed in his coaching as the year has gone along. College BB means kids aren't normally going to stay all 4 years, in the good player scenario, so frosh need to get going sooner than later. At least the top-notch guys. But look at the progress/lack of it. Yes, a lot of kids are going to have ups and downs, but Sampson/Iverson/Williams haven't improved as they've needed to. It may, in some cases, be the talent, and in others, the coaching. But at some point, they needed to be better. I keep reading that Sampson sulks if not starting. That irks me to no end. Tough $#(*&*#& sit a whole game then if you want to pout. Play the kids who bust their butts. And while they're inconsistent, those 3 freshman needed to play more earlier this year. His whole point guard fiasco, and the team's inability to play defense vs the 3 are disappointments. The 3 is a college BB staple. I understand the big guys / pound it inside mentality. When Nolen went down, he turned to a senior, a leader. And a guy who can't make the plays off the dribble a point needs to make. And it's had a huge impact in his game. Hoffarber needs to be the wing/sniper, and is using up too much energy just trying to run the show. They should have been better than this. Injuries/defections have had an impact, but this implosion is just plain awful, and the onus is on the coach. So if he wants to leave? Let him.
