ORIGINAL: panndder Miles is certainly one of the (few) guys I'd definitely look at if the time came, but for all of his faults firing Tubby would be akin to welcoming chaos into this program. The "if Tubby can't win there, who can?" mentality would be hard to shake nationally, I think. You are probably right Panndder....I get impatient. But I really think Tubby has lost the fire in his belly. It is really tough to maintain that over time....especially if you essentially start over. Coach K can maintain it since all he has to do is reload each year. The program sells itself these days. But keep your eye on Miles if you are the U of M. Normally, it can be bad going "home" per se. But in this case, the guy wins where ever he goes. No, the U of M is not his alma mater but he is an upper midwest guy. But he has left and is winning in a tough place to win. (nice place to go to school.....Ft. Collins is awesome). CSU was a hole in terms of BB. He has turned them around in 5 years. And he was successful at NDSU in their transition years.......went into Madison and knocked off the Badgers....the program he established enabled NDSU to win the Summit league tournament their first year post season eligible. And, he coached at Mayville State and was successful. Trust me, winning at my undergrad alma mater is no small feat. What, no smsu props? Like I said, he turned this program into a winner Not easy to do here. You handled that nicely in one of your previous posts. Didn't want to be redundant. He was great at Southwest.
