Scott's the best.

And along those lines, congrats on finally passing Skillz in number of total posts (combining your current username with your old one).

Amazing Skillz is still #1 in posts (if we don't combine SMF's).

Honest half-time analysis.  What do you think of USC?:  5 second pause....."They can't shoot."

Pac 10/12 basketball could be at an all time low this year, and USC is going to finish at the bottom. AZ is good, but where would they stand in the Big10?

It's not just shooting with USC, but Fontan might be the worst shooter in the country. If he's turning the ball over.......he's got nothing else.

Deleted that link, so it's not traced back here. Matt, you may want to do the same.

Wasn't USC a rising power a couple years back?
Man, they aren't now.
Gophers rolling. Looks like a decent team. Most years in the B10, we'd be all geeked about maybe contending.
Not this year. Not sure I've seen it this loaded since those infamous "3 of the Final 4" years, when Michigan and Indiana were always good.

I saw someone tweet (maybe Fraschilla??) that it might be easier to make it to the Final 4 this year than to finish top 4 in the B1G. I'm sure that was somewhat tongue in cheek, but so far the conference looks as good as I've ever seen it. There'll be 4 top 10 teams tomorrow, and we will probably be just out of it. And that doesn't include Mich. St.

Big 10 is so weak in football, and strong in hoops.

If easier to make final 4, then I see a very weak draft

WOW....the time flys by. I remember when Tim Floyd was coach at USC....he resigned after the 2009 season.

They were up there when Floyd was there but accusations, etc, recruiting violations...

I see Floyd is now at Univ. of Texas El Paso. He was an assistant there under Don the Bear Haskins.

He had some damn fine teams at Iowa State when he was there. Then he accepted the lure of the NBA and the offer from Jerry Krause and took the coaching position after Jordan and others had left the team.....not the brightest move.

And guess who he had recruited to Iowa State but left for KU when he went to the pros.....
Kirk Heinrich and Nick Collison. That could have been one great team with Floyd coaching them.

He has always been a great college coach. But has had antsy feet.........

Maybe he will now stay at UTEP.

Good outing NDSU should be a pretty decent team in the Summit.

Williams asserting himself on both ends of the floor. Need that all season.

Gophers looking good
That's a pretty good bison team, too..
Not that big of a difference anymore between levels of college sports.
Interested to see this gopher team once the B10 starts. Right now we have no idea.

The conference season is going to be pretty awesome. We have an absolutely brutal start to the conference season (MSU, Ill, Mich, Ind in 4 of first 5 games). If we can come through that 3-2 or even 2-3, we will be in decent shape. In Lunardi's Bracketology, he has us as a #3 seed right now.

I think Tubby needs to reintroduce Mbakwe to the starting lineup for conference play and send EE to the bench. I also think Dre Hollins is the key player for us this year. If he continues to play the point well, we're gonna be tough. Our frontcourt is going to be tough for anyone to handle, guard play will tell the story.

The boys crush the Lafyette Leopards tonight by 25.
Hope the cushy sched doesn't set us back, now that the grueling B10 starts.
Should be an interesting couple weeks ahead ....

Strength of Schedule so far (from the site I found here: http://www.teamrankings.com/ncaa-basketball/ranking/strength-of-schedule-by-team ) has us as #16 and #1 in the B10 so far.

But I'll take one from you, too, Jeff.
