ORIGINAL: TJSweens From Alipate's father: "Does he deserve a shot? Yeah," said Alipate's father, Tuineau, who played one season with the Vikings in 1995. "Moses has worked super, super hard. But [b]coach Kill is very clear about what he wants him to do. He wants him to lose weight. Whether Moses likes it or not, that's just the way it is. They want him to drop like 20 more pounds, to be about 250 or 240-something. As far as him trimming down, I think he can do it. But he's got to work harder than he's ever worked in his whole entire life." The bolded and underlined parts are most telling about Kill. Players know what is expected of them and they have to work harder than they ever have. Honest to God, I am actually having to force myself to back off my enthusiasm about this guy. They haven't even played a game under Kill, but he has me absilutely stoked about the coming season. I hope I am not just setting myself up for a big disappointment. Honestly, it's almost unbelievable that a coach in the state of Minnesota says things like that. It just doesn't happen. At least, win or lose, the man has a plan on how he wants things done. Better than whatever it was Brewster was doing here.
