Only a casual Gopher Football fan (GO SCSU HUSKIES) but wow crushing Michigan at Michigan is unheard of for Minnesota. Congrats. Is it possible this team has turned a corner?

Nice win.

The negatives ...
We made it harder than it needed to be.
We still don't believe in ourselves completely.
The refereeing in this conference will never allow us to breathe easily. We can have any game taken away from us.
The play calling is at times stupendous and at times utterly stupid. A medium would be nice.

The positives ....
Leidner arrived today.
Cobb is a solid RB we can count on.
Our defense is pretty damn good.
Our roster has improved dramatically. Loving some of the athletes we have added on the back end.
Maxx is a Sunday stud like JJ said, fun to watch.

That end resultcould ahve been much more lopsided. I was listening, thinking that openingdrive was going tobe costly.
Acouple of times came away with zip

Thank goodness the good Leidner showed up.

Not sure who said it, but this team needs to get (no pun intended) more of a killer instinct.
They dominated this game yet really should have put more on the scoreboard.
I think they need to stay focused for the entire game and really learn to put an emphatic stamp on the game.
With the field position they had today they probably should have had more points still, as I say I think overall they did their job.
Not just make a big play, but back those big plays with more big plays and let the momentum steam-roll.

Still a nice win by the boys today.
It may be easy for some to dull the win by stating how bad Michigan was, however I thought that overall they did what they needed to do.

NOW they must build on this and consolidate this win with wins in the next 3 or 4 games.

Suns up which means I have been up 24 hours now, but happy that I stayed up and got to see the jug come back.

Now the choice is get some sleep or watch the St. Cloud State game which is now on.
Decisions Decisions.

Enjoy the win Gopher fans.
Best of all worlds here: Gophers win & Michigan not only lost, but looked absolutely awful.

After seeing Michigan up close .... it was simply a nice win.
Nothing to brag about.
I'd have been LIVID if we had lost to them, even with the help they were getting from the BLIND MICE.

You're right ... I took the easy way out, but truly believe that's a Michigan program in complete disarray.
They were the ones being led by bumbling fools. Their coordinators appear to be buffoons and their players are checking out mentally, one by one.
Like I said in my cheap shot at them ... eat it. Suffer thru it for a decade or two, and see if you are STILL fans. Because .... we are.

Exactly. I was irritated that the announcers kept making it sound like the poor, poor Michigan fans just can't fathom the bad play they are watching. BS. They've had years and years of satisfying football wins and much more than their share of celebrating. I don't feel sorry for them one bit. Maybe it's just their turn to have a bad season (or hopefully a string of them).

I started watching the game through fingers barely spread wide enough to see the tv, but once we made it to 10-7 I breathed just a little bit easier. But I'll bet every one of us felt the same way - there was no relaxing until the clock was down to about 2:00 left in the game. We've seen too many games given away late in all of our sports.

Kill has taken back two of our trophies, right? The Jug and the Pig, if I remember correctly. Now we MUST get the Axe.

Forgot one thing .. loved our physicality on hits today.
Don't listen to the announcers, don't apologize for any of the hits we laid out.
Tired of us always being singled out once we start pounding people.
We have some guys who love to hit. Do NOT teach that out of them, no matter what they call.
We finished some tackles today with hostility. Wore them out. Not a thing wrong with that.
