I absolutely love these highlight packages
I have never seen a roster so completely transformed in such a short time.
From these ground-level shots ... you get the real feel how much better we are.
We now have athletes
We now have HORSES
We now have grown men who FLY to the ball and hit with power and strength
We have, in a short time, gone from a roster of soft fat linemen and gawky skinny receivers and D-backs ..... to a roster of big-time ATHLETES.
Fantastic job of recruiting and building.

One silver lining is the Illinois loss ends up not really mattering. It's not like we were getting into the playoff discussion (even if our only loss was to TCU), right? Or maybe I'm wrong there. Really, we would have had about the "best loss" of any of the 1-loss teams. But anyway, even if we had taken down Illinois, the B10 West championship would still be settled at Wisconsin next weekend.

Edit: I'm an idiot. I forgot about the Ohio State loss. So that puts us at 2 losses anyway. Although losing to Ohio State isn't bad either. Anyway, my point stands that the Illinois loss doesn't mean much of anything now.

The loss to Illinois isn't bad, on it's own, it's just annoying.  If not for that, our 2 losses are to two of the possible final 4.  Just a cool fact for this program.

One criticism I want to bring up is the clock management at the end of the winning drive. This bothered me as I watched it the first time, but I went back and watched it again.

We could've taken a lot more time off the clock between the long pass that got us to the 25, and scoring.

On the play following the long pass we hiked the ball with about 5:58 on the clock, and 11 on the play clock.

We scored 4 plays later, leaving 22,10,8,8 seconds on the clock. That's a total of 59 seconds we could've run off. Glad it didn't cost us, but we should do a better job of that in the future.

I stand corrected ...
Thought it was a nice victory today ...
Nope.
Coach Pellini sets it straight.
8 and a half minutes, and he BARELY mentions Minnesota.
Nothing we did, its all about what Nebraska didn't do. He had it covered, his silly players simply didn't do what it took to beat an inferior opponent I guess

Good stuff man.  I didn't mention it yesterday but it bothered me real time too.  I didn't have the specifics like you did though.  Really good analysis.

You don't have to delete it. Just edit it and change it to a short url:

My favorite rich bro-in-law has promised me a trip to the Bowl the Gophers would make IF they beat Wisconsin.
Dammit, that may be the final, and most-impossible hurdle to overcome.

I really want the ax. I have mentioned before that I am actually kind of indifferent about the Packers, but I hate UW athletics with every fiber of my being.

I love how far we've come, but when you see a team like The Sooners at #21 ... we may still be in slightly over our heads.

U know what, i've gone the opposite direction. Kill's boys are tough as nails and hard to play against. We still lack certain talent but i wouldn't put anything past them at this point.

The Sooners aren't The Sooners anymore than the Cornhuskers are the Cornhuskers anymore.

I know the Sooners. Have my whole life.
Talented roster that is under-achieving right now.
