Quick Lane Bowl: Central Michigan vs. Minnesota
(Dec. 28, 5 p.m., ESPN2)
The Chippewas should have a sizable crowd edge as they aim for their eighth win, and they'll get it as talented quarterback Cooper Rush (3,703 pass yards, 25 touchdowns) takes aim at a banged-up Gophers secondary. Central Michigan 34, Minnesota 27

Not sure what direction Claeys will go. He talked about having the OC and QB coach being done by 1 person. He also said he wouldn't be opposed to the OC also coaching the RB. I still support his decision to change it up. I'm glad he decided not be beholden to the good old boy philosophy.

Crazy shit is .... the Chippewas will PACK that place.
60,000 people will show, and 59,900 will be for Central Mich.

What the hell. Let's shock the world. Buy some tickets for this thing and get over to Detroit! Let's paint Detroit maroon and gold and take it to the bastards! We've got the invite....we may as well show up (both team and fans) and win in convincing fashion.

Holy sh*% you guys are more negative on this than anything I've ever seen before. It's Gopher football! If you're holding out hope for something great in the future, you may want to pick a different sport or organization to reach that bar of expectations. This is the one sport in the state where we have absolutely zero chance of winning it all. The Wolves are a close 2nd, with Gopher hoops pretty much there too. Gophers hockey, Twins, Vikings and Wild - I can understand the negativity at times....

Anything positive we get from Gophers football is like dessert.

The Gophers may be on the verge of a nice recruiting pick up. Seth Green has backed out of his Oregon commit and made an official visit to the Minnesota. It sounds like there is a good chance he will flip his commit to the Gophers.

I don't think it's anything that sinister Ed. He would hire an extra coach at another spot to fill the vacancy. His goal is to eliminate the play calling by committee that was going on with Kill / Limgrover / Zebrowski. He wants the OC working directly with the QB.

Yeah, I was wondering how long that joke would take to get posted. 18 minutes.

@1500ESPN_Reusse
Thought Quick Lane was a chain of bowling alleys in bowling paradise of Detroit. Wrong. Stop-and-go oil changes.

So Reusse already broke his promise that he wouldn't mention the Gophers bowl game if they made one?

The name is irrelevant. They can all be named the "Your Team Sucks But We're Throwing You a Bone Bowl".
