I see OSU is a 97% favorite to win the game Saturday.
That’s rude and totally unfair for anyone to say.
How disrespectful.
To OSU.
There’s no way in hell we should be getting a 3% chance

Fleck is moving the 400 pounder from the IMG Academy into the starting lineup. Yet another freshman forced to start. Kill and Claeys must of done a pretty poor job recruiting those last couple of years if there are no juniors and seniors ready to step in.

The Gophers currently start 7 freshmen and red shirt freshmen, including the QB, the right side of our O-line and half of our DB's.

This is one of the reasons why I'm not even close to off the Fleck bandwagon yet. He lost the two most indispensable players on the team -- Smith and Winfield -- right at the beginning of the year. Smith was necessary to stabilize a true freshman QB, Winfield to stabilize a questionable back-end of the secondary. And his recruits -- Annexstad, Bateman, Faalele, Terrell Smith, Autman-Bell, etc. -- are showing significant potential already. I do hope they make a bowl game this year, but my sights are set on 2019 and 2020 for a jump into the B1G upper crust.

By the way, Bateman will play in the NFL one day, barring injury. He is a baller. If Annexstad grows up quickly, next year's passing attack (Johnson/Bateman/Bell/Douglas) should be one of the best in the B1G.

I agree with all of that Pete. They started the season as the youngest team in the country and got even younger with the injuries to Smith and Winfield. As you said, they were probably the 2 most indispensable players on the team.

Don't forget Brooks too...Brooks/Smith tandem both hurt.

Agree, you can tell there is talent there but it is so young. I'm trying to be patient with this group. Still a year or 2 away. Hopefully better decisions are also on their way from the coach.

Fleck says Annexstads INTs were on everyone but Annexstad.
Says the receivers have to fight for the ball more.
I get it.
But imo, those were three crappy PUNTS. No more, no less.
Get better in a hurry kid. We need ya.

He needs to quit bailing out as he throws. Too many dead ducks launched off the back foot.

Longest win streak vs Ohio State

TWO

Back when it was leather helmets

Not playing every year HELPS

7-44 history

2 wins in past

37 years

1981
2000

OSU did vacate a win from the Tressel era, so that's nice.

That's not even embarrassing...it's past that. Not sure what word I'd use, pathetic?

We were jobbed on the 4th down spot. No challenge. Next play TD Ohio St.

Yeah, I'm sitting here thinking "we have a tough enough job as it is, no reason the refs should be helping Ohio State!"

It'll be interesting to see how biased the officiating will be in the 2nd half.

Nice turnover on downs! Urban Meyer a little too confident going for it on 4th down all the time. See, SMF and others, even the best teams can't just go for it on 4th every time and succeed.

That's incomplete, not a fumble, right? Inexcusable drop either way.
