Then the MN d-back falls down in a game of chicken fighting/pattycake with the ISU WR, and ISU scores.

Soft team. The MN linebacker kid is a warrior. The rest, not so much.

Weber is just brutal.  His regression this year has to be some sort of record.  He is skipping 10 yard passes to wide open receivers.

Some good passes in a row on their last drive of the half.

Then Stoudemire falls down on a cut. INT

I liked the play where Gray had a ton of time and found the receiver. Teams are so used to him running, they held back and thought he was going to run.

Which shows how predictable MN is on offense.

Even with the few good throws, Weber still tosses some incredibly lousy ones.

How can he still be the starting QB? It's amazing to me.

Can't see the game. No NFL Network available in LF@!!@@! I thought Gray wasn't gonna play any QB tonight? That's what Brewster/Sid said.

Gray has only taken a couple snaps so far.

Mostly WR

SHOULD be at QB. Weber just doesn't impress me at all.

Given that Brewster has stuck with him all year, it's no wonder they're stuck at .500

You didn't like that 2nd and 11 in the redzone where he missed a wide open WR for a sure fire TD Ed?  Or how about the next pass where he skipped it 2 yards in front of the WR again?

Followed by a missed chip shot FG to end the sequence.  We are misfiring on all cylinders tonight boys.

I wonder if Barber, Maroney and Russell watch this team and just cry at how far we've fallen in the run game?

Damn. Nice to be back in the game, but you can't miss that 2nd and goal throw.

And then a run on 3rd and 3 from an obvious run formation?

Why is Weber throwing passes 100 MPH to a receiver that's six yards away?

I was hoping for something other than that.  But that was the answer I was expecting.

Actually, I was thinking it was more of "you only get 10 passes a game where you are allowed to bounce them in.  And, he used them up in the first half".

Ironic that Weber can play that poorly, but Gray will go down as the goat.

Any shred of credibility Brewster and the program had just got squashed on national TV.  Herby during the OSU/Oregon game on Tressel going for it on 4th:

"we were joking during the commercial break that if this was against Indiana or Minnesota, Jim kicks the FG here.  It's because they actual have respect for Oregon's offense"

I'm sure that's real great to hear if you are a recruit trying to buy in to what Brewster is telling you

According to NBC Sports, the Bears would like to add Jedd Fisch to their coaching staff. It's not often that one coaching move can so thoroughly excite all Gopher and Viking fans!

Maybe Fisch is going to have some teaching role with no strategy or play calling involved.

Which would probably be perfect for him.

They should make him the OC and have him totally overhaul Cutler's mechanics.

You guys are asses.  Fisch is a vital cog in what we do.  It's going to suck if we lose him.  Mr. Angelo, if you need any info on Jedd I'll be happy to assist.  These guys have no clue.

Whaley is gone

http://www.startribune.com/sports/gophers/80856192.html?elr=KArksLckD8EQDUoaEyqyP4O:DW3ckUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aUac8HEaDiaMDCinchO7DU

Gophers running back Kevin Whaley was detained and ultimately cited for assault in connection with an incident at a Scottsdale, Ariz., night club early in the morning on New Year's Day. Whaley, who was suspended indefinitely by the team following the incident, was released from his scholarship obligations by Gophers coach Tim Brewster.
In a statement released by the school, Brewster said Whaley had asked for, and been given, his release.
This is the second time Whaley has been involved in an altercation at a night club and he is the second Gophers football player arrested in the hours following the team's loss to Iowa State in the Insight Bowl; offensive lineman Ryan Wynn was arrested and cited for alcohol consumption by a minor late in New Year's Eve.
For Whaley, this is the third time he has found trouble outside a club late at night. In March of 2008 Whaley, a graduate of Virginia Beach (Va.) Salem High School, was shot outside a club shortly after signing his letter of intent to play at Minnesota. He was not charged in any way in that event.
In the early morning hours of Nov. 1, 2008 Whaley -- then a redshirt -- was arrested outside a club in downtown Minneapolis. During the incident police had to use a Taster to control Whaley. The following February Whaley pled guilty to fifth-degree assault and obstructing the legal process and received two years of probation.
Here is what happened on New Year's Day, according to the Scottsdale Police Departmant police report:
Whaley was at the Afterlife Club in Scottsdale when members of the club's security noticed Whaley disturbing some females inside the club. Whaley was being escorted out of the club by two member of security when he tried to pull free. When he did, Whaley, according to the report, hit one security member in the chest, the other in the face.
It was at this point that a passing Scottsdale police officer was flagged down. According to the report Whaley was one of a group of five other men, at least one of which identified himself as Whaley's teammate. The group was trying to leave the area but were stopped by the police officer, who had to use the threat of a Taser to get the group to stop.
After having obtained backup, the police handcuffed Whaley, who had been identified by club security. But he would not give the police any information. Ultimately he was cited for assault and was later released by Scottsdale police staff.

Thankfully, we lost.
Think of the fun had we actually won an important game.
God, these guys piss me off sometimes.

That really sucks but sounds pretty much 100% deserved.  He was our best back this year.

Trouble seems to follow Whaley. Since signing his tender he has been shot and now arrested. All before the end of his freshman year. He doesn't seem to know how to stay out of places and situations. Too bad. As JJ said, he was our best back.

Fisch to the Bears? Maybe even to the Redskins with Shanahan. The NFL could save Brewster from himself. The only problem is that I cringe to think of who the new O.C. would be.
