Some athletes are given a pass on everything growing up.  They don't realize that once you get to the top of your profession, you have to work really hard at it.  they probably didn't...expecting to be handed opportunities.

Collins - Young

Again, what goes around, comes around.

When Young was ineffective he was rightly benched.  Now that Collins is ineffective, and personally blowing the last 2 games for them, he needs to be benched.  Perhaps Young can provide a spark to the offense. 

But when you are 0-3 and your QB put up a 41 rating last game he needs to be benched.

Same goes for JeMarcus Russell who has been brutal and lucked into 1 win.  He needs to be benched

Right now Collins has a Vince Young like QB rating but without the running production.

What is the point?

He has lost 6 of his last 7 starts including a playoff game at home.  When was Young ever allowed to lose 6 of 7?

I disagree. I do think that Delhomme is on thin ice but I thought he played fairly well against Dallas. His INT's came on a long bomb where Mouhammed basically quit on the play and then on a quick slant where Smith stopped his route. Like I said, he's on thin ice and if he goes out and resembles the QB from week 1 against the Eagles he should be benched but he's earned a little more leeway to try and turn around a couple bad performances. (Not to mention, I wouldn't be overly eager to get Matt Moore in the game!)

Actually, I think the lack of a viable backup is a BIG reason that Jake hasn't already been benched.  But he is on thin ice.  That team is 0-3 and set to continue the trend of no repeat winners of the NFC South.  And it isn't going to get any easier for the Panthers.  But their sucktitude has as much to do with their Defense and Julius "way Overpaid" Peppers.

The new lawsuit, filed Sept. 25 in Washoe County District Court in Reno and first reported by the Reno Gazette-Journal, does not name Roethlisberger as a defendant. But it potentially has a connection to a separate lawsuit filed by another former Harrah's employee against the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, Koster and a number of Harrah's officials alleging that Roethlisberger raped her at the hotel in July 2008 and that the company covered it up.


Roethlisberger denies the allegation.


In the woman's lawsuit, the former VIP hostess said a reason she did not report the alleged sexual assault to police was because she had been told that another employee had been fired, or was about to be fired, as a result of Roethlisberger's restaurant complaint.


Both lawsuits claim Koster was a big fan and friend of Roethlisberger and that it had become general knowledge among employees that they should go out of their way to please him.
Harrah's spokesman John Packer said the company does not comment on pending litigation.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says he will examine the emotionally roughing the quarterback call and evaluate how it should be called in the future.
