Status: online 		I wondered about that too. I couldn't remember though - was that the first or the second preseason game for them? If it was the first - the amount of time their starters were in was ridiculous.

Status: offline 		Have gotten back into watching "Hard Knocks" this season.
It's one of the most well-done shows on TV, imo.
Great camera work, great behind-the-scenes intrigue, great entertainment, imo.
Namath in Jets camp last week was fascinating to me.
It really hasn't even been about "The Jets" to me, its more about the lifestyle and the drama that surrounds a great game. (NFL Football)

Brady has not demonstrated post-ACL that he is the same QB he was pre-ACL. We will see if this year he gets it back together.


18 GAMES

Let me go on record as being 100% against 18 game seasons or shortening pre-season. If pre-season was used correctly it would be more valuable. That means dozens of plays for Peterson to work on pass blocking and receiving. Dozens of plays for Jackson to find 2nd and 3rd targets. etc.

I think the wear and tear on the players will increase injuries and hurt the level of play.

Also, there should be different sets of records for different length seasons.

Moss 22 TDs in 16 games is far less impressive than Rice's 21 in 12 games.

Reggie White had ~20 sacks in 12 games and Strahan had 21 in 16.

OJ's 2,000 yards in 14 games is the greatest single rushing year I have seen.

I'm not a fan either of 18 games. More injuries, shorter careers in an already brutal game, IMO.

Jets cut our old pal Tony Rich ... thats a tough cut to make, dude is a class act. He'll catch on somewhere I'm betting. (probably back with Jets in a week)

Status: offline 		I hate seeing a team give into a player that has only played 2 years and demanding a new deal. This will open it up for every player on the Jets to try the same thing and proably the NFL.

I also think the media made a big stink of the Vikings going down to get Favre then they are in the owner and coach going to get Revis. I can't see a CB having the same affect on a team getting to the SB then a QB who touches the ball on every offensive play

Or at least every player that is as good as Revis is at their respective position.

In most cases I would agree, but this kid played only 2 years and had 3 left on his first BIG contract. My problem is his holding out this early in career

But I also have a problem with guys like Bradford and Suh getting tens of millions guaranteed just because of what they did in college!

They need a rookie salary scale

In their last two games in significant snow (versus the Cardinals in 2008 and the Titans in 2009), the Patriots averaged 53 points per game. Moss averaged 108 yards and two scores in those games. Bring on the bad weather, it works for Moss.

All it takes is the DB to lose his footing 1 every 5 plays or so. Bad footing hurts the guys who don't know where they are going the most.

They do honor the contracts.

Not true at all.

They cut players and cancel the contract whenever they feel like it.
