68% of Eagles fans are in favor of the move.

What kills me are the hypocrites against Vick but don't have boo to say about double murdered Ray Lewis or rapist Lil Ben.

People have been ranting about Ray Lewis and Leonard Little for YEARS! Where have you been? And Ben Roethlisberger is pretty universally scorned by everyone these days.

No hypocrisy at all.

When they come up with a front page with BR on it with Big Ben "forces his way back on top" or one with Lewis on it saying he "murdered them" making a tackle I might speak about it.

And "WOOF!!!" Think hard to come up with that response? You always have a choice when choosing to respond to something you disagree with.

I know if I pound the keyboard hard enough I can change your mind! You go with excuse #4 and #27 and I can go with retort #4 and #27...to what end?

Lines were drawn long ago with haters taking one side, apologists taking the other.

I'm fine with Vick playing again. I've never been a big fan, but he's paid for his crimes.

I do think that headline is in incredibly bad taste and a competent editor would have changed it.

Philadelphia and New York specialize in shocking, ignorant headlines.

That is what they do.

I don't like it. But there are far more pressing things to get upset about than Michael Vick being allowed to play football.

I stayed quiet about the calls for Vick to start or play for us. Clearly it was the headline I had a problem with.

Would have been a fine response.

What you gave was you being a bit of an ass which was my worse than danimal personal attack that got edited.

I never said you did.

I called out your "Woof" post to me as you being a bit of an ass. Never said you were guilty of personally attacking me.

You don't think you were bing an bit of an ass with that response. Be honest.

Pats lose Faulk for the year (ACL)
Maybe should have kept Maroney?

I mentioned it in another thread, but Faulk is a serious loss to that team. Hell, IMO, he's a serious loss to the league. Not a superstud, Hell, he can't even get a decent local endorsement deal. The guy is a serious football player. Run it, catch it, return it, he does it. You really, really need a first down, who you lookin' at?

The Pats don't have as many weapons without Faulk and Maroney.

Also, Brady - while still the best QB in the NFL - is not playing at the "other worldly" level he did from 2003-04.

Yes especially since they just traded Mahrony to Denver

There are some interesting parallels and contrasts between the Vick-Kolb saga and the Cunningham-Johnson one of 98. Kolb, like Johnson, was the QBOTF and annointed starter after replacing a veteran QB (McNabb-Moon). Kolb, like Johnson, was thought to be a great game manager. Both guys got hurt. Both guys got replaced by former Pro Bowl castoffs with powerful arms but known just as much for their quick feet.

Both head coaches initially pledged their allegiance to the young guy and both eventually went back on those pledges.

I doubt the Eagles are going 15-1 this year or to the NFC CG but it is fun to watch and compare

"You've got a guy who was a superstar in this league, playing like a superstar again -- maybe one of the best quarterbacks in the league right now.

"A young quarterback needs time to mature as he grows in the game. I don't think Kolb has lost one thing. He's a franchise quarterback. He will win games, and championships, for the Eagles. But I think it's a different deal when you go out there and can't make a mistake or you're going to get crucified, which is the way this thing might have gone if he went back in there now.''

I can't believe we had to grab a branch from this idiot coaching tree.

Vick isn't even one of the best QB's in the division!

Benching your "franchise", "future multiple SB winning QB" so quickly is retarded. The reason given even more so.

Vick's playing well, and in the NFL, Good QBs lose their jobs all the time.  Ask Drew Bledsoe.  Injured on one play.  Franchise QB...after that injury, never played another snap for the Pats.

Vick has matured as a QB.  His accuracy, at least in this last game, was much better than in the past.  Kolb's gonna have to bide his time and either A. take the job back if Vick finds a few weeks to suck, or B.  Get signed, or traded to another team.

Be real - Kevin Kolb sucks. He was a terrible draft choice. They gave him way too much money and he simply can't play.

Anyone who has watched him play realizes that.

Decision making can improve with experience. A weak arm combined with slow feet will never, ever change.

Vick may succeed or Vick may turn back into ATL Vick and be erratic and lose good games.

It doesn't matter.

Either way, Kolb isn't the QB for any team. He isn't any good.

Kolb has had a few good games subbing for McNabb.

He's played exactly one half of one game this year.

Too soon for that judgement IMHO.  He will get a QB job somewhere.  Kolb is better than anyone in Buffalo for example.

He's not going to be without a job for a long time.

I'm not saying he's good, or he's going to be good.  But he's not as bad as you are making him out to be.  And he COULD be good.
