I was a huge Raiduh-lover in their hey-day.
They are starting to drag me back in.
Al Davis, now that he is completely de-composed, is back to being a good owner again.
That ugly 10-year stretch where he died and sat around rotting wasn't much fun.

there is a reason for the success you know.

He finally decided to stick with one coach for more than 6 months.

The cost was a third-round pick and considerable embarrassment. After the Vikings decided Monday that they will waive Moss, the question is whether another team is willing to pay $3.388 million to rent Moss for the rest of the season with the hopes he can make an impact.

http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/30701/several-possible-landing-spots-for-moss

Washington Redskins: This would be a natural move to claim Moss on waivers if owner Dan Snyder had his way. At wide receiver, the Redskins have Santana Moss, Joey Galloway and a lot of no-names. Money wouldn’t be an issue, so if the Redskins don’t claim him, count them out. But Moss would make great sense. Donovan McNabb has a good deep arm. If he could get some healthy running backs, McNabb would work some play-action passes to Moss. The question is whether coach Mike Shanahan is on board.

Miami Dolphins: After adding Brandon Marshall, the Dolphins aren’t looking for another receiver, but they could put in a waiver claim to prevent him from going back to the New England Patriots. Even with Marshall, the Dolphins have been among the worst teams in the league for explosive plays, so they could justify the move from the offensive standpoint too.

New England Patriots: For economic reasons, the Patriots probably wouldn’t claim him, but if he’s available for about $450,000, how fitting would it be to bring back Moss? The Patriots fleeced the Vikings for a third-round choice, and they could end up with the player for nine games.

Maybe CHICAGO will get Moss ?

They surprised by getting Cutler, and then Peppers this year. They ARE a little weak at WR.

If Chicago picks up Moss it would be a sweet reunion between Tice and Moss.

They have Knox, Aromagoogoo or whatever his name is...Hesturd.

Their problem isn't WRs it's the Oline is getting the QBs killed.

Jamarcus Russell worked out for the Redskins yesterday. Donovan McNabb must be falling apart or something.

The whole "he wasn't physically fit enough to run the two-minute" presser was surreal.
Maybe we aren't the only looney-tune outfit in the league right now .....

Has Shanahan been abducted and replaced by a wax replica? I keep half-expecting him to start careening around the room and spewing white liquid. Looks/acts like an alien.

It's almost bigger, wierder story than Moss. Someone asked if this was going to be played up in the media, when Shanahan sat him. I'd say that's a massive yes.

We aren't even close. On ESPN yesterday they showed a nationwide poll asking which NFL team is in the most disarray. The Cowboys got something like 87% of the vote. The Vikings got 2%. I glanced away and didn't see which other teams were on the list with low percentages, but there were a couple. I imagine the Redkins were one of them.

Did you see the crazy Shanahan interview? Dude seemed just nuts. They had to send his kid out to talk to the press to try to do damage control.

Would the Shanahan interview be online anywhere? Who aired it?

Titans are the perfect fit for Randy Moss
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on November 3, 2010 6:12 PM ET
It's hard to imagine a better fit for Randy Moss than the Titans.

Away from the national media glare with a coach that commands respect, this is Moss' best chance to succeed. Landing in the middle of a playoff race doesn't hurt. The offense is also a perfect fit for him, which is one reason why the Titans seemed so happy about the acquisition Wednesday.

"We had an opportunity to upgrade our offense and Randy has been a tremendous threat where ever he has been. We will bring him up to speed as quickly as possible," coach Jeff Fisher said in a statement.

The team has a bye week to get Moss up to speed on the offense. It shouldn't be too complicated -- go deep. Moss' increasingly limited skill set is all about vertical routes now. The Titans are a play-action, vertical strike team that loves to throw the deep ball to keep offenses honest.

Check out the team's yard-per-catch numbers. Kenny Britt is at 18.9. Nate Washington -- who has almost the exact same numbers as Moss this year -- is at 16.7 Justin Gage is at 15.9; even their beefy tight end Jared Cook goes deep.

Perhaps the Titans don't even claim Moss if not for Britt's hamstring injury, but there's no denying Moss should help the team's offense.

"We are always looking for ways to improve our roster," G.M. Mike Reinfeldt said. "Randy is obviously a Hall of Fame player and has the ability to be a difference maker for our offense."

If any coach can handle Moss, it's Fisher. Moss is delightful compared to Albert Haynesworth. And the Titans locker room already is rolling out the red carpet.

"Welcome randy moss," Chris Johnson wrote on Twitter. "I would say my home is your home but I have no home." (Click here for what that means.)

There's no guarantee this will all work. But for the next nine weeks, Randy Moss couldn't have picked a better home.

They'll be 10X more exciting to watch going forward than the Vikings.

Everyone should get a backup AFC team when theirs sucks ass. Go Titans!

LATE BREAKING NEWS!! Training at the Dallas Cowboys practice field was delayed after a player reported an unknown white powdery substance on the ground.Training was immediately suspended, police and Homeland Security officials summoned to investigate. After a complete analysis, police and forensic experts determined that the white substance, unfamiliar to most of the players, was in fact, the goal line!

Mine has been the Colts and Oilers. Fun teams to watch almost always, even when bad they were entertaining.

Funny stuff JC !!!

I will now enjoy watching the Eagles and Titans. The Eagles to watch Vick, and the Titans to watch Moss. Almost more fun than watching the Vikes, but I still hope for the Vikes to turn it around, or get a new coach FAST.

I want Randy Moss to still believe his TRUE home is with the Vikings, THEY are the team that drafted him, and I still hope he can bring a Championship to Minnesota some day.

Moss will never be back this time.

Randy is an amazing player, just like AI, and similar to AI I believe his career will end with a title appearance but no win and also like AI it will end before its natural time as teams grow tired of the other stuff.

Agree, Moss will never be back with the Vikes.  No Favre, no Moss and Favre won't be back after this season.  There's nothing for Moss to come back to.

It would be different if the Vikings just traded Moss away again. But the Vikings gave up a 3rd round pick for 4 games of average WR play and great decoy work.

As long as Wilf owns the Vikings I don't see Moss coming back unless it is for one game and a ceremonial retirement. Even that may be off the table after the latest episode.

Isn't it POSSIBLE Wilf fires Childish, and then is thinking about the best deep threat WR out there, and Moss is available during the offseason ?

I don't think the Titans will ever give up Moss, but you never know.

If we say "no, its not possible", will that prevent 1000 GIANT FONT pleas to bring back Moss between now and then end of the offseason?

I know Jerry Jones said that Wade wasn't losing his job yet, but after the way the team played last night, I can't see how he can keep him
