The Packers have, apparently, lost Al Harris for the season. This is really going to cut into the number of opportunities he has to injure opposing players with cheap shots, which Harris must find terribly disappointing.

Kampman apparently messed up his knee pretty bad this afternoon, too.

I feel bad for Kampmann - honestly.

But I have trouble working up even an ounce of sympathy for Al Harris.

The Pack move to 6-4 after beating the 49ers 30-24

It was an offensive explosion in the first half for the Packers racking up 360 yds of offense but the second half was the Alex Smith show as he rebounded very well as the Packers special teams let this game get interesting.

Rodgers played outstanding in a game that likely meant more to him than anyone realized since being passed over by SF in the draft. I for one am thankful that they did.

Big props to Ryan Grant and the OL for making loads of room for him to run and for Grant capitalizing on it.

The loss of Harris is huge. Hate all you want, but the guy was a fantastic CB. I like T-Will and think he'll fill in very well like he did last year when Harris was out. What is more concerning is the nickel and dime spots as those CBs aren't all that great. Hopefully one of them picks up their game in a big way down the stretch.

Kampy is a loss and I feel very badly for him. However he is not as big of a loss as Harris. Brad Jones has filled in very well for Kampy in the Dallas game and also in the SF game. He's a natural OLB in a 3-4 and he is showing signs of being a solid if not very good OLB. Still, Kampy was one of my favorites.

What a difference 2 weeks makes. Lose to Tampa, feel the season is slipping away only to respond to beating 2 good teams.

Please, knock off the blanket statements of Packer fan bashing. It's just demeaning to yourselves.

Losing Dirty Al Harris is an upgrade to the starters like it was last year, but there ARE questions about the nickel and dime players, especially wth Blackmon out for the year.

Losing Kampmann is also a slight upgrade in many situations since he didn't fit as a LBer, but it means they have to blitz a lot, or opposing QBs will have quite a bit of time to throw.

Nice try, but in picture #1 Winfield is wrapping up the player with his arms around his legs (ya know, a textbook way to tackle)

In photo #2 it looks as though Winfield is, yet again, tackling with his arms.

In my example, Al Harris in no shape or form leads with his arms or shoulder pads, instead he throws or rolls his body in front of and into the lower torso of AD, leading with his butt & body.

And here's a question, did Winfield cause either Packer to be helped off the field in injury? As a matter of fact, has he EVER? No. Why? Because, you are a dumbass and used one of the best tacklers in the NFL as an example of someone who is a dirty tackler...

Again to review...

Week 3, this year, Laurent Robinson placed on IR (fractured fibula)

You know what this was the result of?

Al Harris doesn't get the nickname "Dirty-One" (Get it, thirty-one?) for nothing. He stepped on Laurent Robinson's leg and ended his season.

Winfield's not tackling with his arms, if he was then his arms would be ON the player and he would be on the guy's waist, not lying on the ground with the defender in the air. Textbook tackling doesn't result in that. Nice try in deflecting the issue.

As for Robinson, talk about revisionist history. He got injured run blocking when his leg got rolled over from behind by the pile when Jackson got tackled.

I don't like how these types of "tackles" have become commonplace but if you wanna keep your head in the sand that this isn't happening on EVERY team, that's your problem.

50 second mark of this video shows the tackle. Winfield goes for and puts his helmet right on Grants waist/thigh. Doesn't even make contact with his knees. THAT WAS ABOUT AS TEXTBOOK AS IT GETS. And how can you NOT see him trying to wrap up with his arms? Harris belly flopped into AD's legs, not even CLOSE to the same thing.

Rapist Chmura to be inducted to Packers Hall of Fame

It was announced Wednesday that former Packers tight end Marv Fleming and former offensive lineman Greg Koch will be inducted to the Packers Hall of Fame.

But they wouldn't be worthy of a post on their own. (Sorry Marv, Greg.)

Mark Chmura will be the third former Packer player inducted next July, and his inclusion could stir some debate because of the sexual assault trial towards the end of his career.

Frankly, we're not sure if Chmura's inclusion in the Hall is controversial or not. Chmura is a local radio host and remains a highly visible former player. (His recent comments about Brett Favre make us wonder if Favre will show up to the ceremony.) The Packers Hall of Fame isn't even officially associated with the team.

But the beginning of the Associated Press' writeup about Chmura's induction is a reminder that he'll never fully escape the memory of the trial:

"Despite a career that was tarnished by scandal, tight end Mark Chmura will be inducted . . ."

Bet Lombardi is rolling over in his grave right about now !!!

As a player, Chmura was an outstanding TE in his short time with the team. Three Pro-Bowls in 4 yrs when he was starting. Injuries limited his time on the field.

As a person, I think he's a jackass.

I don't agree with him being in the Packer HOF. Not only for what he did off the field, but he really didn't have enough time on the field to warrant being inducted.

And Vikings Fans get villified by Packer fans for the love boat...The had the original Love tub in Green Bay. I think the sponsor of the hot tub company actually sponsors the Packer HOF. At least the Women on the love boat were legal!

I never applaud ANY player getting injured. People - there is a huge difference between wanting your team to win and someone being hurt in life.

Agreed on Chmura also. A grown man hanging out with high school girls?

Packers dominate the Lions for a 34-12 win to go to 7-4!

Rodgers continues his fantastic play. He got a lot of protection from the line (finally) and made good decisions. Driver keeps being, well, Driver. One of those ageless wonders.

Woodson has to be up there as a leading candidate for Def POTY. 7 INTs (2 for TD), 4 FF and 2 sacks on the season. Today was one of those career highlight reel performances. Just a phenominal player.

They're in the driver's seat for the WC. There's some real tough games to finish the season, but this team has really turned it on since that Tampa game. I'm pretty confident that Pack will finish as one of the WC teams though.

This game was a great way to start Thanksgiving!
