As much as it hurts to see Iowa have a great night ... I'm glad to see PSU's Head Coach get some karma shoved up his rectum.

That was impressive.

Barkley is the best, all-round college RB I have seen in a long time.

What a tough loss for Iowa.

They played well enough to win, right up to the last play.

Good thing, otherwise I would be a bitter old man.

Gotcha. i think they mentioned he has 7 picks already and he threw 2 in the first that could/should have been picked.

People have no idea how untalented the offense is around Darnold. His wide receivers are all new and get almost no separation. His offensive line is mediocre, at-best. His top running back is on the shelf. It's all on Darnold's shoulders and he has his team 4-0.

It hasn't been a great start from a stats standpoint, but the kid is doing it all by himself.

They mentioned several times that he's trying to win the Heisman by forcing too many throws. I'm sure the Heisman comment was just stupid commentary speak but I do agree that it looked like he was forcing throws.

Kids got a great arm. I'd take him!

Darnold is trying to win games. The Heisman is an afterthought and a byproduct of winning. This coming Friday at Washington State is going to be another great game. The Cougars have a tremendous quarterback in their own right in Luke Falk.

I see similarities to Dan Marino's senior year when his stats weren't as great as expected and he dropped in the draft

May Darnold drop to the Vikings!

I think so.

He's as polished a college RB, in all facets, that I have seen since Marcus Allen.

Big time college sports are a cesspool. Fun to watch, but a criminal enterprise so vast the FBI has to step in. After USC's penalty, how about Louisville just disbands its basketball and football programs for good. The two most odious coaches imaginable, and now cold busted.

Obviously criminal, corrupt, self-serving yet nearly untouchable. Sad.

USC quarterback Sam Darnold was 1 for 7 for 9 yards on passes thrown more than 5 yards downfield in the first half, according to ESPN Stats and Information.

Maybe dropping so much we don't want him.

#1 pick fellas. You have to understand what you are watching. He has three freshmen on the offensive line and zero returning starters at wide receiver (probably the worst wide receiver corps they have had at USC in 20 years). He's literally doing it by himself, yet his team is still 4-1 and is the only team in the country to have played five straight bowl teams to start the season.

Don't look at the stats. He's the guy. Frankly, I'm surprised they are 4-1 given the injury issues and lack of talent on offense. The defense is playing their asses off.

I see parallels with Dan Marino's bad senior season
