Giants have pitched 4 no-hitters in 4 years.

When I flipped it over to MLB Network for the last out of the game, the announcers (not sure if they were Giants or Mets announcers) said "he's only the 5th Giants pitcher to throw a no-hitter since 2009!" And I'm thinking "only? That has to lead the majors."

When you have a good offense like KC, you can hide Drew as a PT guy.

Drew Butera is your #Royals backup catcher. Team reinstates Erik Kratz from disabled list and designates him for assignment.

When you play him as Gardy did? no way.

lol, Phillies GM is on crack if that is true. No wonder he denied it.

----------------------------------

The Mariners inquired into the availability of Philadelphia outfielder Ben Revere, as first reported by CSNPhilly.com, but talks quickly stalled when the Phillies asked for either Taijuan Walker or James Paxton in return.

That’s one version.

Philadelphia general manager Ruben Amaro Jr., once the report surfaced, denied the asking for Walker or Paxton in return to Revere. If so, the Mariners are likely to show renewed interest.

Revere, 27, has a .270/.312/.352 slash (batting average/on-base percentage/slugging percentage) in 60 games. He is making $4.1 million and is under club control, via arbitration, through the 2017 season.

The Mariners would likely use Revere as their regular left fielder. He could also shift next season to center field if Austin Jackson departs as a free agent

Same immediate reaction to that. Hilarious.

I do continue to think us and Seattle could be a trade fit. We have offense/outfielders and they have pitching.

Phillies‬ GM Ruben Amaro Jr. on whether he asked for Walker or Paxton when ‪#‎Mariners‬ inquired on Revere, as @TNT_Mariners reported:

“Typically we would not comment on rumors. But when they reach this level of ridiculousness, I can say unequivocally that what has been written is false.”

The young kids just keep bopping. Trout/Harper/Pederson/Bryant/Giancarlo. So impressive. And now you add Correia/Buxton to that list. The game is in such a great place today on the field.

ARod and Pujols just keep on keeping on.

ARod with 12 HR's now, approaching a .900 OPS. 666 for his career now. Very outside shot to still pass Aaron? Still 2 more years left on his contract.

Pujols with 17 HR's now, .850 OPS. 537 for his career. Still SIX years left on his contract after this one. Could go over 700 in his own right.

And then you have Miggy. 403 for him. TEN years left on his horrendous deal. Will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Yup, juice him up between drug testing dates. No time like the present.

Payfraud didn't need PED to be a HR hitter. I don't understand his motivation other than that $.25 billion contract he signed with the Rangers seasons ago.

Buxton has to perform. Minor league stats are nice but mean nothing at the ML level. I just hope Buxton gets it from the start and doesn't play Aaron Hicks baseball.

The Cisco Kid and my NL team the Buccos taking it to the Sux today. Love it.

11-0. Liriano with 12 K's and 2 hits (1 walk) in 8 innings. 2.94 ERA on the year. He's 3rd in the NL in K's by the way with 111 already.

Seriously, the Pirates' pitching coach is a stud. Cole and Burnett are 1-2 in ERA, and Liriano is 12th.

Crappy pitching staff assembled. Kids have to bail them out. Their uber prospects continue to not help.

Darn.

The FBI is investigating the Cardinals for hacking into Astros computers and stealing their in-house information.

I think it was the Astros stuff that was leaked a year or two ago - emails about trades and stuff. I wonder if it has something to do with what's going on with the Cardinals?

Can they blame the equipment assistant or clubhouse sub-manager?

Play the Patriots game

Spygate was against NFL rules, but broke no laws. Hack of the Astros both violates baseball's rules and laws potentially

100 percent with ya. Still think Brady did not do anything wrong. I don't for a second believe he would go to the ultimate length if there was smoking gun out there that he was involved in anything. Heck, I still think the science backs up that there was no deflation at all. 3 of the 4 Colts' footballs also measured under the limit when they checked them, just less so. The NFL didn't understand science and so they went on a witchhunt. If I were Brady and my wife was Gisele, no way in hell I'm giving up any of my phone records either.

Mientkiewicz tells us SS Orlando Arcia, Oswaldo's kid brother & Brewers' prospect, is the best player in Southern League "by far.''

I totally buy that. That kid is a stud.

By the way, that's a solution for us at SS: Segura with the Brewers.

Give them his brother Oswaldo and another guy (Santana?) and get Segura.

Phils go 0-8 on their latest roadie.
Lost to the Os 19-3 yesterday.
Chase Utley visibly upset with pitching coach who let Jeff Francouer throw 50 pitches.
The kind of mess we were the past four seasons.

I would guess Utley and others want out of town asap.

As Phil noted, Parm hit 2 HRs in that game. That division's ballparks are suited to his "ability".

See how long he can help the O's.
