The hats work with a couple of the logos. I think the Astros and Pirates look kinda cool. The Pirates AS hats bring back memories of the Bill Madlock era conductor hat.

Posey muffs it. That's what can happen in an AS game when the catcher and pitcher aren't familiar with one another.

Outside of the Division thing, how hard would it really be to trade for a guy like Price.

Example 1-Johan Santana
One highly touted guy-Gomez
a big diaapointment guy-Humber
a really young guy-Guerra
and a nobody-Mulvey

Example 2-Frank Viola
One highly touted guy-David West
a so-so Major Leaguer(at the time)-Rick Aguilera
a decent Prospect-Kevin Tapani
a scrub-Tim Drummond
and a nobody-Jack Savage

So really
One highly touted guy-Berrios, Kepler
a so so Major Leaguer-Vargas, Santana, Arcia
a big dissapointment guy-Meyer
a really young guys-Burdi, Zach Jones, Jake Reed
a decent prospect-Polanco, Walker, May
a scrub-Levi Michael, Alex Wimmers
a nobody- take your pick

Take a Top Pitcher in the game, realize he will cost money, and pick one guy from each of those 4 categories, it's really not that tough.

Except no one would pay that much for Price - he'll be a free agent at the end of the year.

Exactly, even more reason for Terry Ryan to get on the phone to Detroit and Philadelphia

Will they discuss lowering the mound this offseason? Some of these pitching stats in MLB are getting ridiculous. Most of these guys are not that good. There's no way.

Please refrain from comparing Buxton to any player outside of Mike Trout

I have no idea why guys think long hair looks good on them. I have even less idea why some girls dig it.

No offense to anyone who has long hair.

Who does? Just curious.

But I do like the McCutcheon comparison, seem to have the same body type and I think Buxton's ceiling is closer to McCutcheon than Trout.
Which is still fantastic.

Well we wish.
Any long hair in here would likely be a skullet.

I really don't think that's the problem. PED use is probably at a low, relatively speaking, and consistently hitting a baseball is still one of the hardest things to do in all of sports.

Analytics come into play as well. As Dustin mentioned, every team seems to be getting so much better at defensive adjustments and shifts.

HR hitters will soon be more valuable than double hitters. The "hit it where they ain't" doesn't work as well as it once did. Hit it over the fence, nothing but fans there.
