I'm back Matt! Another win against a ranked team last night, 4-1 over #20 Air Force. Sounds like we're looking good.

I wouldn't know, because the games aren't on TV anymore. Not that I'm bitter or anything.

Some interesting stuff going on in the Pairwise rankings.

St. Cloud State is #1

Air Force is #2, after a split with Bemidji State over the weekend.

Mankato sneaks into the Top 10

Bemidji State holds the all-important #16 slot

North Dakota is 30th

The Gophers are 44th of 54 teams (the Ivy League teams have not played yet)

Bemidji State gets Ferris State this weekend. Unfortunately, a sweep over Ferris State will likely still result in BSU falling out of the Top 16 in the Pairwise. That's going to be the struggle for the WCHA teams going forward.

MSU-Mankato's move up is a bit of a surprise given they only managed a split with Bowling Green. Seems like the Mavs split every 2-game series with the Falcons, regardless of their ranking.

I keep expecting my favorite team to come back to earth. So far they haven't. 7-0 while playing a pretty strong schedule. Denver lost twice this weekend. SCSU will be the runaway #1 team in the country with the next poll. Probably get every first place vote.

Game note. The Huskies were outshot 29-26 tonight. Was it a case of getting better goaltending or better shots.

Beavers take a split in Fairbanks. Since it was a couple of one goal games, that’s probably a deserved outcome.

Congrats to the Husky and Maverick fans on your strong starts. Let’s hope we can talk about all of our teams’ NCAA chances come March.

Yep, things change quickly with the lack of games thus far. Gophers are looking like they're going to have a strong year this year too. Let's have all 5 MN teams make the tourney, and leave UND out. Dream season.

Speaking of that ...
It IS time Minnesota teams start hanging the ultimate banner.
Its been decades now, of these teams all competing with the U, with the Colorado Schools, the UNDs of the hockey world ...
START winning the thing. Plenty of small schools have been doing it lately, its TIME.
I'm an US vs THEM guy. Hockey banners belong in this state, imo.

Absolutely. As much as I want the Huskies to win it all if we don't win it I would prefer UMD, U of MN, BSU, or Minnesota State to win it than see it go to UND, Wisky, Boston etc........
