Probably should have a Packer thread.

Green Bay Packers cornerback Jarrett Bush was arrested for public intoxication early Sunday morning in northern California, according to ABC 2 WBAY. Vacaville, Calif., police told Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com that Bush will not be charged with anything.

According to police logs, Bush was booked with disorderly conduct under the influence after being taken into custody in Vacaville, Calif., approximately 60 miles northwest of San Francisco. In addition to the misdemeanor, Bush was given a $1,600 bail charge.

Bush will be on the open market once free agency starts - I wonder how he looks in purple?

Since the Packers took back Johnny Jolly with open arms after serving a prison sentence for drugs - I think it's likely Jarrett Bush sits just fine with them.

As opposed to the Vikings who NEVER have any issues with drugs or alcohol (or chiild abuse).

Never said that. Believe it or not we've been discussing Adrian Peterson fully in another thread, and we've never shied away from the warts on the team. My response was just to your assertion that the Packers would automatically let a bad character guy go (I gave the example) and implying that the Vikings are LOOKING for guys like that. You zinged. I zinged back.

I didn't say they'd let him go, he'll be a free agent in a few days. And you have to admit a lot of former Packers end up with the Vikings.

Yep, there have been a few no doubt. Some have worked out pretty well for us, some haven't.

Players never have the same loyalty to a team that fans do, it seems, so it's hard to get why they'd go to a division rival when they leave a team they started with. Fans think it's unfathomable, players just shrug and say it's business.

Wow, that is a surprise to me. I viewed Cassell as a very good backup. Now what?

Probably in the minority, but I'm comfortable with Ponder as the back up which I think affords the team the luxury of developing a raw, toolsy third stringer to develop as trade bait or a servicable starter a la

Kramer
Dils
Wilson

or

Brad Johnson and Rich Gannon who I think started out as third stringers.

Mistake.

Teddy stays healthy and Mickey Mouse could be our backup and it wouldn't matter.  That being said, I really have the feeling this move may come back to bite us in the ass.

The picture of Spielman and Zimmer leaving Peterson's house in the Pioneer Press looks like a couple of Jehova's Witnesses who got the front door slammed in their faces.

Shaun Hill new Vikes backup QB

I'm not all tingly.

Add to that the awesome re-signings of Joe Berger and the long snapper, and this FA season is so awesome

But signing Asiata again??

Eh,nevermind.

Owen Daniels leaves BALT for Denver, replacing (sort of) J.Thomas.

Ex-Badger has carved out a nice career, about to get better w/the aging legend.
