Who are we hoping for tonight?

Someone who turns out to be the greatest 1st round pick in Viking history.

Hope we roll with one of the two targeted WR
Which means we will probably end up with six TE types.
Wait, that was the Childress days.
At least now our obsession will be with usable defenders.

I honestly .... would wait to see what these dudes wear to the Draft Day party, before drafting them.
Not kidding.

I like the pick. Hope for a Cris Carter type player from him. Should help move the chains and catch TD's. Not a burner but should compliment Diggs and Wright and help with run blocking.

First pick: Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss

Other notable picks: Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson (54); Willie Beavers, G, Western Michigan (121); Moritz Boehringer, WR (180)

The addition of Laquon Treadwell in the first round gives Teddy Briddgewater the kind of big, aggressive receiver he hasn't yet had with his NFL team. Size issues with Treadwell are overblown, and he should succeed. And second-round cornerback Mackensie Alexander is a great value with the ability to play outside and in the slot. Of course, the big story of the Vikings' class is the fifth-round selection of Moritz Boehringer, who previously played with the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns of the German Football League. Boehringer , who’s the first draft pick to come from straight out of Europe, got into football a few years back after watching new teammate Adrian Peterson on YouTube. He has the base athleticism to make it in the NFL, and now comes the task of learning advanced routes and dealing with NFL competition. Western Michigan tackle Willie Beavers could also be a standout in this class in time. Like T.J. Clemmings, last year's developmental offensive lineman, Beavers has a lot of talent, and a lot of learning to do. Also, keep an eye on Vanderbilt end Stephen Weatherly.

I thought speed was the issue with Treadwell. Personally I like the Treadwell pick even if one poster on the Vikings thread thought he should be timed with a sun dial and had lobster claws for hands. Every other source in the world says he has great hands and there is a hell of a lot more to getting open in the NFL than running a sub 4.5 40 in shorts.

If the Vikes are correct, Treadwell's speed won't be an issue, another year healed up from dislocated ankle injury in '14

The problem is your judgment.

The NFL is planning games in Mexico and China, but eating meat there can cause players to fail PED tests.

A bunch of players posted images on Twitter of the notice they got from the league and players union warning them that “consuming large quantities of meat” while traveling in China and Mexico could trigger a positive test for clenbuterol, a fat-burning drug.

Even though it’s illegal, ranchers give clenbuterol to their cows to make them meatier. Eat enough tainted meat and the drug will show up in your system.

Shocking .... Talib shot in a Dallas nightclub.
Punks been flashing his millions of dollars worth of bling all off-season.
Made it longer un-shot than I thought he would.

Harrison Smith is asked to line up multiple places in Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer’s defense.
Whether on the line to stuff the run or execute or bluff a blitz, or off the line to play coverage, Smith has made a variety of plays in a dynamic role.
Smith will continue to do so in Purple for the foreseeable future after signing a contract extension with the Vikings Monday morning.

The line is better, the receivers? maybe.

It is still up to the QB to make it happen.

No excuses.

Former NFL player Bryan Robinson was pronounced at the age of 41 after being found in a Milwaukee hotel room on Saturday.

Toxicology reports and autopsy results are still pending to determine his cause of death. There were no signs of obvious trauma or suspicious activity.

Robinson played defensive end for the Chicago Bears from 1998 to 2003 and was a member of the Arizona Cardinals' Super Bowl roster in 2008. His last season was with the Cardinals in 2010. He also spent time with the Rams, Dolphins and Bengals over his career.

Former Vikes assistant, of course more infamous elsewhere coach, Buddy Ryan passed. 82

Probably saved Cris Carter's life by cutting him.

Calvin Johnson telling on the NFL
"Concussions happen. If not on every play, then they happen like every other, every third play ..."

Sadly, I agree with him.
What people are calling concussions these days ... are happening constantly.
I remember playing contact sports and the feelings you got from hits.
Concerned people these days would be shocked to know how often they really happen out there.

Read that he, who hasn't been "banged up" compared to others, can't hardly walk when he gets up. Yee-ikes.

Same as Target Field. Well, some of the beers are $8 at TF. But some are $10. As for hot dogs, I think they run about $5.75 at TF.

God dammit
Farve is doing it again
Couldn't have hated a guy more in his prime.
Keeps showing me I was a dipshit for not liking him
Very revealing interviews with Gruden. Should have been my favorite player with the mentality he had.
That uniform ruined things.
