ORIGINAL: twinsfan Common is ripping apart this comment by Eagles GM Howie Roseman: Roseman said it was a tough deal to make. “I’m staring at the ceiling, wide awake, at 2:30,” Roseman said to Spielman, according to King, “and [wife] Mindy says, ‘You okay?’ I said, ‘No, I’m not okay. We’re about to change a lot of lives here.’” “Same thing with me,” Spielman said in return. “Couldn’t sleep. I was out at 4 a.m. walking the dogs.” How many lives did they change? Really, only Sam Bradford and his immediate family, right? And that barely counts. He changed the city he plays in. He's an NFL player. It comes with the territory. Beyond the Bradfords, who else's life actually changed from this? All the coaching staffs, the fans, the other players, the stadium people, the parking lot guy, the radio sports guys, the National Media, the bookies, the bettors, Fantasy Footballers, ..how it affects fiture moves.......He's right. This is a stretch. They affected a lot of lives in the same way that you would if you started a new job. How do we replace McMurfy's position? Your new employer might need to find office space for you. Maybe that moves someone else from an office to a cubicle? One of your new co-workers may resent you. That kind of stuff. Edit: Actually, you changing jobs would have a much deeper impact on many more lives than the Eagles and Vikings making a Sam Bradford trade. Let's say I'm an Eagles WR on the last year of my contract. Affected? Yes Ticket sales guy. Scouts Coach Doug Pederson(who I know personally and have partied with numerous times) all affected.
