Diggs has another gear to get separated from corners

The score was a full speed cut
And was wide open and gone

Appreciate Cousins some

Watching WentZ and Goff miss guys yesterday that were open

Trubisky too
Then he’s pulled at the end
Looked like he was crying

Not feeling sorry for da Bears

And, I just got home but have been thinking about it since the game. WTF is it with Zimmer and his terrible defenses versus really mediocre or backup QB's? He's done well against some really good ones but the NTG's in the NFL give him absolute fits.

Look at the Mount Rushmore of failures or "don't belong in this league" scrubs that have given us troubles this year. Daniels/Moore/Allen today/Allen (Buffalo) last year. Jeez, even Trubisky skunked us last year.

What really killed us was that Zim insisted on Rhodes shadowing Courtland Sutton to start the game. Rhodes can barely shadow Laquon Treadwell at this point. I'll admit that on one of the plays, Rhodes couldn't have covered it any better and Sutton made a spectacular catch. Other than that, Sutton separated from Rhodes at will. A particularly embarrassing one was when Rhodes tried to grab him as he went by and only got Sutton's towel.

Might as well start taking some punches ……

When Kearse is your main guy late, wow.
We're making him seem beast-like. I'm so glad to see its him, instead of any of the others, trying to cover these guys who are abusing us.
A couple of those Denver receivers punked us, over and over and over. Sutton was asking for an ass-kicking, and none of our guys gave him one.
I realize Sendejo is looked at as The Plague around here, but I was damn glad to see him laying some wood on a couple of those clowns.
And yesterday, he was pretty much laying out opponents, so it was good.
Harry Smith another, who had enough, before he got laid up with the hamstring (not good).
Kind of shocking and amazing to see how far and fast Rhodes has dropped. I know he's the target around here now, but damn, its puzzling to see.
The no-name QB thing is also fascinating to watch. Its truth. They kill us.

Isn't that crazy, Ed
That Chicago/Rams game was the WE WERE WRONG ABOUT YOU Bowl.
I honestly thought both were on their way last year to domination of the conference for a decade.
Nope. Not even close. Both are a mess, really. The parity, or is it the overall suck, of basically every team is strange.
As you pointed out, some of those young QBs everyone was drooling over, have looked putrid.
I would have been worried about Trubinskys mental health if I was in that Chicago org.
Honestly. Not healthy. Somethings wrong there. Really wrong. And Goff has regressed as well. The scouting and preparation in the league by most teams is so damn good.
They find your Achilles and they attack it until it snaps. Some of the young guys can't throw a simple 5 yard out these days. Wentz included.

Btw ... on the Vikings success …. how about those slight roll outs by Cousins, to avoid pressure, and open up the field for him and his receivers?
Hmmm. Must be rocket surgery. CHANGED the whole feel, once he did that. Slight little change. Changed the game.

Agreed
Couple of those long pass completions by the Broncos … our DBs actually had some decent coverage, but the catches were still made.
Frustrating addition to just not being ready to play, overall.

One last rant …
There was something going on with the officiating again.
Someone out there was after us.
This phantom Over-the-center thing has to stop. I don't care that they finally changed it. Something was going on.
Denver rolling up and down the field … no holding? We finally get some mo … holding.
The Denver running backs all day … not down/ Not stopped? Still allowed to squirm for more yards?
That one Denver TD still puzzles me.
Just some really obvious weird stuff happening with officials lately in our games. Gets you to thinking something bad is always waiting for us.
The fact they stayed out of the final set of downs in the EZ amazed me.

Loved the call on Rudy's TD. You know the play action worked to perfection when you see Rudy jogging across the goal line, while 11 Broncos defenders are busy picking their jock straps up off the ground.

The second score was the same formation
Same start to the play

Fake right handoff to Cook
Roll left

Only difference was the open guy

Never saw the routes of the others on the second to know if it was the identical play that Diggs scored on

DBacks are a steaming mess
Wayne’s looked like the second best
As you said
If Kearse is your best cover guy
It’s trouble

Have to figure it all out

Cannot let teams drive down the field at will

IMO it’s a lot like ML umps

Reputation is big

How well you get along with the coach too

And the star players

Some crews want to control the game

If they’d caught that last pass

Think the replay would have had the balls to call offensive pass interference
It was blatant

I don’t think they would have

It’s such a mess with replay

Cousins said the offensive coaches were actually drawing formations up on the fly to make playing a 2 minute offense for an entire half effective. They ran the same basic 2 minute drill plays, but out of multiple formations to keep the defense off balance. Stefanski and Kubiak did one hell of a job making adjustments.

Why? Are you expecting them to get boned up the butt by the officials?

Some of the plays they drew up need to be plays used in every game not just scrambling to win because your head coach is a dope for playing to lose

Agreed Ed. I also think they should use more hurry up offenses even though it goes against Zim's beloved ground and pound philosophy.

They proved they could run a two minute offense effectively

Idk how long
If at all
The qb gets to hear from whom ever in that situation

However they threw it together
It worked well

Almost thankful Denver ran the clock out and the defense had to play to the end

Spared fans from watching three plunges in the middle and a shanked punt trying to run the clock

Yep. I think the biggest thing holding the offense back at this point is Zim.

No doubt

The whole first half was his “philosophy “

And it sucked

In some areas Zimmer isn’t all that different than Bud

Short controlling pass game and a run game

And rely on your defense to hold them to field goal or a turnover

Grant only truly got further away from that when the defense sagged

But when Ricky Young led the NFL and Steve Dils was the starter

Very little different than yesterday’s offense in the first half

Great defense decides it's going to take away Cook and force Cousins to beat them. It took Zim getting behind by 20 at the half to let the offensive coaches open it up and call a game that worked against what Denver was doing. Turns out his offensive coaches know what they are doing. And son of a bitch if Kirk Cousins didn't beat them.

It has been that way since Thielen has been hurt...

Just think how much worse the first half is if Denver really cashed in on the fumbles
Vikings shot themselves so many times in the half there was no foot left

Bend don’t break only works so long

Then it’s bend over

And the Broncos obliged.

With no reach around.

Really astounding, given how many ways the Vikings tried to lose this game. The amount of mental errors they overcame is mind blowing.

1. Hughes muffs two punts.
2. Terrible decision to run the kickoff out of the endzone ending in a fumble.
3. Stop them on 3rd and long, except Griffin gets called for hands to the face.
4. They are lined up to punt except Harris jumps off side.
5. Long completion negated by a hold.

I gotta hand it to Cousins. A TD on every 2nd half possession is damn impressive for a guy who can't really a team from behind.

Wilson.

Good points otherwise.

Vikings are 30th in QBR for deep passes
Only Raiders and winless Cincinnati are worse
