Put the Diggs running plays away and stay aggressive when you get the lead. If we want this to end right we have some things we need to cleanup.

Yeah

NBC

"Should have been called. The rule is there for it."

Sorry, your team got eliminated. Multiple picks for them to win it all.

Some of them must have put $$$ down in Vegas on the Saints.

We've been screwed by so many calls through the years we deserve an iffy one to go our way. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving Coach/organization.

Sweep tosses with a lead and defense blitzing in obvious run situations.

Screen passes

Both need to go away.

There is a time and a place for all those plays, but they clearly weren't working against what the Saints were doing.

By the way, CPA had to crap his pants today, so that was fun.

That sweep toss from the one yard line in OT may have been the single dumbest play they have run all year. You NEVER run that play at the goal line. They more than made up for it on the next play, but still ....

And far be it from me to bitch after a playoff win, but here goes ... Zim does NOT know how to play with a lead.

You're right Tim but…..and this is a massive but…….it actually may have worked to our (long term) advantage. It forced Cousins to get the monkey off his back for now. That pass to AT was an absolute dime and the catch was even better.

Ok, I'm normally with that but not today. Outside of going full on crap zone to ensure the game was going, at least, in to OT….why now? And, BTW, that alone justifies the statement to an extent. His defensive gameplan today was money IMO.

For 3 quarters anyway. That game never should have gone to OT.

Yeah, that I agree with but I expected crap all game and he did some really good things that surprised me. We(I) bitch so much that I think it's appropriate to give props when they are due.

I'm not going to pretend. I expected a 20+ point blowout in their place today. Now I'm nervous about next week because now I have hopes. Not a good thing for a MN sports fan. We are shit after big wins. Playing Saturday doesn't help either.

He did well today, for most of it anyway, but that doesn't mean he isn't an idiot overall. He's clearly not a highly intelligent human being. Hopefully he continues to surround himself with smart people who help the Vikings win.

I agree and I did acknowledge that I was bitching after a playoff win on the road. You're absolutely right, the defensive game plan for most of the game was spot on. Sending Griffen and Hunter up the middle was a wrinkle caught NO completely flat footed. Breese completed 79% of his passes, but only totaled 208 yards and got picked. That's what makes it so frustrating when Zim abandons what has been working too early. His game planning gave us the upper hand. His late game adjustments almost let it slip away.

Postgame he acknowledged the last big playoff win and falling flat the next week. Said he'll have to probably be a little crabby at practice this week.

Deep in own territory
Trying to eat the clock

And Seattle goes downfield for about 30 yards

Game over

The knew Philadelphia had trouble at quarterback

But still

Pass like that is not an option for Zimmer to allow late with a lead
Always let the defense make a stop

Just like they did Sunday

Sweens nailed it.three quarters of stifling Brees

And then you go back to what doesn’t work

Head scratching

If there’s any chance the league adds any more regular season games

This weekend was evident to me players coast in the 17-weeks

The Vikings had a different intensity
Griffin was playing like he did a few years ago

Seattle had 28 sacks in 16 games

Seven yesterday

And the commentators tried to tell us we didn't see what we saw.
Hate that part
Dude drove his helmet into his helmet, and drove him out of the game
Sure, probably wasn't intended, but it happened.
And it changed the game. And subsequent games.
We deserved a couple helmet calls yesterday, and so did the Saints.
Just stay consistent, please.

Zimmer got badgered enough in the postgame about vote of confidence, rumors

So Deion Sanders said something

He replied ....apparently

Truth? Sometimes it bothers me, yeah.. I mean, we won 10 games this year. I’ve won 60% of my games in 6 years, 3rd winningest coach in Vikings history..and I have to listen to this crap.

Lol

That’s life in the nfl big boy without a title

Loved that Rudy, Sendejo, and Rhodes all were huge yesterday
The trio that everyone loves to hate on
Thielen renewed our faith in him
He had a really rough patch lately. Started the GB debacle with his drop and subsequent whine for a PI call that wasn't there.
But he redeemed himself yesterday.
If you've never had a to catch a football dropping straight down from over your head while running a full speed, you don't realize how tough that game-winner was.
And make no mistake, that WAS the game-winner.
