Well I guess the defense play caller can’t get whacked

Leave him a lame duck

Please

Which is a joke because everybody knows that Zim is the real defensive coordinator. Edwards was just a conduit for his will.

The secondary had a serious issue with communication and spacing all year long. The transition of coverage was just bad. Time after time the first level back either needed to be a step deeper in the initial or the next level back need to be a step forward. Teams constantly completed passes in between defensive levels.

Edwards probably didn’t covey the boss’ desires well enough while the boss was neutering the offense

Biggest thing to change on offense is the middle of the O-line. Bradbury gets some slack for being a rookie at arguably the hardest line position to learn in the NFL. Elf needs to go. I get the the idea that guards in the Vikings blocking scheme need to be athletic and be able to move to the next tier of blockers, but they still need to be stout and strong enough to hold the point of attack in the passing game. Cousins got put in a lot of bad situations this year because Elf consistently just got trucked right off the snap. As a whole, that inside trio couldn't move bodies at all in the run game against the better d-lines. I actually liked our GCG backups in the Chicago game. At least those guys played with a bit of a chip on their shoulders and showed a little bit of nasty.

There is a lot more sin to cover up on defense. They need to upgrade DT, at least one corner and the slot defender. If Andrew Pendejo is playing a significant role next year, then the off season will be a failure from a defensive perspective. They also need to fix the spacing and communication in the secondary. Finally, they either need to find a way to use Barr to his abilities or cut bait.

LSU rolls

Moss got in twice

QB legend now takes his accuracy to the Bengals
Who have less WR talent overall than LSU

A number of NFL squads have less

That's what is frightening about these latest college juggernauts

They go 4-5 deep in TALENT

Would love to see them revive the old college-vs-pros game they used to play when I was a kid.
Look up what Rex Kern did to the NFL one year
Loved that stuff.
Yeah, I know, I know …. men vs boys
I don't think so, anymore.

Still hard to believe that Ohio State had 3 of the 4 Heisman candidates in their fold at one time.
Liked Burrows until last night
The oversaturation of one guy just irritates me after awhile.
And he got VERY cocky at the end of that game. Needs a smack down at some point. Everyone does.

Watching LSU get going and score score score

Was a near replay of KC Sunday
Titans won 35-32 at Tennessee in regular season

Will be entertaining

Vrabel has his hands full with Mahomes
Reid has his hands full with Henry

Without a flak jacket
Burrow doesn’t finish the game
Seriously drilled in the ribs on first TD to Moss

Watching Henry stroll around after the win this weekend among the other players
It's amazing anyone can tackle that beast
There's simply nothing to grab on to
He's bigger than almost anyone out there. Can't get your arms around him unless you are huge yourself.
KC's weakness is their D, hoping it kills them this weekend.

Absolutely loved Earl Thomas being shoved aside by Henry

TWICE

In the same running play.

And the jump pass td

I can see how he gets dinged

But when healthy
Yikes

I keep trying to imagine the DBs of my youth coming up and trying to tackle a guy like him
Little Bobby Bryant or old Paul Krause, sticking their heads into those knees?
Oh boy. Might have seen on-field deaths.
Oh, but … but …. the old guys were better. Pffffffffft.
I always remember my dad having arguments with those blowhards who think the old days were "better"
"George Mikan couldn't have played on a HS JV team"
OL in those days couldn't run the full 40 yards, much less do it under 5 seconds.
Humans have become amazing creatures in the last 50 years. Bigger faster stronger

Lol

Paul Krause duck and dive

Or getting a ride for multiple yards by Larry Csonka in the Super Bowl
Henry would drag those guys to the end zone

Or yeah seriously hurt someone

In the early days of the Vikings, if you wanted to play, you had to be able to drink with Norm Van Brocklin. Guys like Bryant, Ersal McBee and Wright were actually pretty good technique tacklers in the Winfield mold. Krause was a grab on and drag you down over the course of 10 yards type of tacker, while Sharockman, Hackbart and Kasulke were pure head hunters.

What difference does it make? Whoever is named DC will have the title in name only. Zim isn't giving up control of the defense.

For a long time I was upset over all the times Krause got by passed for the Hall

Was basing that in interceptions total

He did get in

But I wonder how many picks were simply the result of playing centerfield with a great pass rush

Right

Just save some money and name him that too

If it’s the kid would be tougher to make him the scapegoat

Vikings success back in the day
A result of better organization of resources
Having a good run of talent
Both.

When they kept drafting late there were, many more misses than hits

The league caught up to them

And been stuck in the non stud era since

The 98 year was pissed away
As was thr Favre season

Franchise futility

Since the 1976 super bowl loss

The franchise has been to the conference title game

Six

Times in 43 years

Terrible

1977
1987
1998
2000
2009
2107

Playing CF behind a great rush was definitely part of it, but Krause had great instincts. As our D-backs have shown in recent years, it's one thing to be in position to make the play. It's another thing all together to know how to make the play. Krause knew how to make the play. He knew how to time it and he was one of the best at jumping passing lanes.

The way both overall play the pass

Sendejo and Smith should have been linebackers

Harris has more of those instincts Sweens mentioned

And now he’ll need to get paid as a FA
