I was in a house full of family so my attention was only 50% or so on the game, but I didn't see much of anything I would fault Teddy for today. I'll be going into next year feeling better about our QB situation than I have for a long time. Now, what to do with AP? Find a stud WR, another S, and a LB.

One thing I did notice is that how ofter Audie Cole showed up today. He seemed to make a bigger impact today than Greenway did all year. Maybe I'm just not paying close enough attention, but Greenway has been a big disappointment to me this year.

Liked Floyd, liked Rhodes.

Didn't like running game.

Sucks that we won when losing could've improved draft position. Hope we draft well next year and make a charge.

Yeah, Cole had a nice game.  They flashed his stats later in the game and it was something like 13 takles, 10 solo.  He also had an INT taken away because Wooten jumped offside.

The Vikings have a QB now. This team can quickly get better. They also have a head coach that understands defense. We have about a half dozen young players that hopefully will only get better.

Had a couple awesome pass defenses Greenway never would have gotten close to.

It was another game that made you want to scratch your eye balls out. Cutler and the Bears are awful, and we barely squeaked by. But the team improved this year, and we got a quarterback. DEFINITELY on the right track. Just need more talent. I love the coaching staff and the QB. They have to shore up the offensive line. #1 priority IMO. Also need a WR, LB, CB, S.

I forgot to mention OL woes and forgot to mention Adam Thielen. He had a nice game today with the TD reception and the big tackle on special teams. He's a keeper.

Biggest disappointment of the year.... A tie between Patterson and Kalil. 2 Very high draft picks who had Sophomore slumps. The better get their butts in gear this offseason and be prepared to make a difference next year or they'll be out of the league before they know it.

By 1.5 games.

Moving in the right direction. Not a bad showing for a guy that inherited a mess. Turned half that mess around and had to edure the loss of his best offensive player. 3/5 of his Oline, significant time lost for his best TE and reduced capacity when he returned...

That being said. Zim did a helluva job taking a team in freefall and turning it into a team on the rise. We lost nine games this year, but something like 5 or 6 were within one score even a FG.

AND he recognizes that the defense, though improved has to show more toughness later in games to hold onto leads. We could have been 9-7 or 10-6 with just a couple calls, balls, going our way.

This team is definately moving in the right direction.

Very excited for the next couple years.

It's all about the QB.

Find a franchise QB, and the rest can come together. Most important player in any sport.

We have one that just turned 22. It was a very good year.

This is exactly how I feel. I was never a big Culpepper guy. Talented as hell but 10 cent head. And I can't stand Favre so really I can say that this is the first time in my life that I've ever felt comfortable with our qb for multiple years ahead as a Vikings fan. That's huge. And I could really say many of the same things for Zimmer. If you had told me before the year that we wouldn't have AD all year, that Kalil would be a joke and we would get next to zero production from CPatt and we would win 7 games I'd have told you you were crazy. Similarly I went from a massive Norv fan to bleh to realizing again that it's all about qb and Teddy has been playing fantastic. That's Norv's number one job: developing Teddy. And he's doing it. The future is bright gents. Build an OL, get a CB, S, LB and WR and we are going to be one of the best teams in the league. With Teddy leading the way for many years to come.

Really need this Vikings team to rebound into a legitimate year in year out contender. The State of MN sports has been and remains abyssmal recently.

Twins - suck
Timberwolves - suck more
Vikings - sucked recently, but improving need to take that next step.
Wild. Only thing wild about this team is how wildly disappointing it is.

God help us, the only successful professional sports team in the Twin Cities over the past few years is the WNBA team.

I hate basketball, but...GO LYNX!!!

True dat.. However, things are looking up for some Gopher programs. FB and BB have some decent programs on the rise. Pitino's crew could surprise people in the Big10 this year.

Vikes FA target in 2015

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald does not expect to be with the team next season, Craig Morgan of FOX Sports Arizona reports.

When Fitzgerald was asked about that very subject, he said he hadn’t thought about the possibility of Saturday’s NFC Wild Card Playoff game against the Carolina Panthers being his last in a Cardinals uniform.

“It has not crossed my mind," Fitzgerald said. "I'm in the midst of an opportunity that doesn't come too often, so all my energy and everything is focused on helping my team win."

I doubt he comes at a salary that matches his declining ability.

I cannot post on this thread because I am a troll Vikings poster. Talkvikes Vikings threads require every poster to be as positive and optimistic as Dustin is with the Twins. In fact, Dustin's optimism pales in comparison to the Vikings top optimists. Dr. Viking is already predicting a Vikings SB victory next season.

The MN Wild is really a major disappointment. They have lost something like eight of their past ten games and sliding fast well out of the eight West Conference teams that make the playoffs. I believe they stand in 11th place currently.

Gophers football was only mildly embarrassed today so that is something.

This was  a different kind of embarrassment though.  Normally we are physically outmatched and it's embarrassing.  Today we had/have just as much talent.  We just had a coaching staff that is afraid to win, so they played to lose.

Somehow, I feel better

There is literally nothing remotely accurate about this post.

Except maybe Mark being a Vikings troll...

It has really become blatant. And it is present in all aspects of professional sports. Teams that will generate the highest TV ratings are the recipients of favoritism in calls.

The NBA must be freakin out right now with its top teams right now......Cleveland isn't where so many thought they would be....no Lakers, No Boston but instead, teams like Memphis are pretty good or Atlanta.

To throw a flag and then to pick it up and dismiss the initial call would have been in the past, an action consistent with throwing a game because of gambling.

These days, it isn't the gambling money driving calls......it is TV ratings.

As much as I wanted to see the Lions wins so the Packers would play Carolina this week, it was nice seeing that scumbag Suh crying after the game.

I mentioned this real time on Facebook. I couldn't believe that. It was ridiculous. Especially given the circumstances.

An offensive guy runs on the field while the D in on to bitch = 15 yarder

A guy runs on the field without a helmet = 15 yarder

An offensive guy runs on to the field, with his helmet off, while the D is to bitch = no call

Will anyone in the media have the balls to demand explanations? Just a mockery.
